If you manage to get them connected and don't accidentally adjust one in your ear thereby powering them off unintentionally, the connection stays strong.

I haven't had any problems with mine, other than not really caring for the touch controls (mostly, I suspect, due to having thick, sausage fingers). The short version is that I just ordered a new pair of the same item, due to losing one of the earbuds, but feel free to read my evaluation below.

I haven't tested the IPX8 rating, but the claim of 6 hours battery life per charge in the actual earpieces is accurate (I listen to a podcast pretty much all day, and that 6 hours is active listening, not standby), and I can recharge them enough times that I actually forget how many times I've done so before realizing I need to charge the case).

The range estimate is also decent. I've been known to leave my phone in the house with the podcast running, and walk across the front yard to the street to get the mail, easily a distance of 30-40 feet, through 1 or 2 walls, and keep good connection quality. see less

How far are you from the source? 30 ft with no obstructions (walls) is the maximum distance. Check battery levels in both the ear buds and the source.
