Thank you for asking about our new Blink Video Doorbell! When the Doorbell is set up wire-free and the button is pressed, the Doorbell unit itself will play an audible chime. The pressing of the button will also send a notification to any mobile device that you have signed into the Blink app. As long as your volume is turned up on the mobile device, the notification will produce the same chime sound. You can also use a compatible Echo device with the Blink SmartHome skill to enable Doorbell announcements. see less

I pay $10 a month even tho I can use the sync module because it will take several minutes before you get a notification. (It should be instant so I think they do this so you pay for the service) It's instant when you pay for the service.(Well, maybe not instant but 10-15 seconds.) Thank you for asking about our new Blink video doorbell! Accounts that were created on or before April 15, 2020, continue to have the original 7200 seconds (2 hours) of cloud storage per Sync Module. The Blink Video Doorbell shares this cloud storage with the rest of the Blink devices on your account.

The answer that it works is misleading. It works, but not the way your older cameras work. It will not store any video without a subscription. You need a Sync Module 2 to have local storage. You get a notification of movement, but only live video, no recorded clips. My live video is not even working, maybe because of aluminum siding, but it is not worth troubleshooting based on what I understand now about the way it works. see less The answer that it works is misleading. I just set up my Blink using the existing doorbell wiring. Both the Blink and the dumb doorbell chime rings. Just make sure everything is setup correctly with the chime option set.

You cant not even on the Echo show, not without making it open it manually and even then it takes so long to open half the time whatever triggered it is gone

Yes it does! You can add up to 10 Things onto one module as long as they are within 100ft of the sync module.
