In my younger years I always made my cornbread from scratch. That is how my grandmother taught me and I did not like the sweetness of box mixes. Now that I cook less, my baking powder goes flat and I buy less ingredients to make every thing from scratch, so I tried Krusteaz and was pleasantly surprised. Plus my grandson loves it! That sold me. Now I seldom make scratch coirnbread anymore. I always keep a couple of boxes on Krusteaz on my pantry shelf. Although it is a bit sweeter than the cornbread I grew up on.
