My neighbors bedroom is on the side of my backdoor on my garage. This creates sleeping issues for them at night should I leave the light on or turn it on in order to take out the trash. So I struggled to figure out what to do about lighting since this area is completely dark at night and on a slight hill. That is when I ran across these ring step lights. The idea is that they project the light downwards vs omnidirectional like normal outside door lights.

These lights have a lot of pros for me vs cons. Their very straight forward and easy to install, they illuminate the area without blinding my neighbors, and their set to only turn on at night saving battery power. The only con for me personally in my situation is that although their solar powered, this area may not get enough sun to fully recharge the batteries. Now I understood this going into these lights. These lights are also easy to remove from their mounting brackets and recharge.

FYI: These also work with Ring's bridge. So I can remote operate them if need be from my phone along with my other outside Ring lights and cameras.

Its only been a couple nights but I'm very happy with them and plan on installing a third one soon to help illuminate the walk way more.
