I've been using the Echo Auto for 2 months or so. Got an invitation and discount since I signed up to be part of the trial over 6 months ago. I have an unlimited phone plan so I don't have to worry about how much WiFi I use. Instructions were easy. Plug into car with provided cables, Bluetooth phone to Echo Auto, Echo Auto connects to car, blue light on Echo Auto and go. (I left out the cursing about everything connecting to the wrong thing and it taking a bit for me to figure out how to make it all work the first time.)
It is just like the normal one you use in your home basically.
- It runs through your phone into the car speakers so It's not as loud as the radio so you have to adjust volume to turn everything up and then if you disconnect, you have to turn everything back down or your regular radio will blare.
- When the kids try and talk from the backseat, it can't hear them even when placed on the center console. Instead of mom mom, mom...the kids yell Alexa, Alexa!, ALEXA! which can be annoying.
+ It works well with my navigation so you can hear both.
+ The kids LOVE being able to yell at Alexa to answer a question or play a song or game in the car so it makes a great kid distraction.
+ Hands free you can tell it to play a song or remind you of something or make phone calls.
Overall, good purchase and I like Echo Auto as much as the Alexa we use in the house.
