The Good:
Unlike some of the other reviewers who’ve upgraded from newer generation echos, I jumped from an original Gen1 Echo to this one and it’s a significant improvement all around and worth upgrading. While not 360 sound, my placement works perfectly for me. The sound quality it leaps above the Gen1. The microphone is more sensitive and accurate as compared to the Gen1. I’m happy with this and glad I got it.

The Not So Good:
Personally I don’t mind the different color power cord contrasted against the echo...but I see why people might not like it.

I’m still trying to figure it out, but I don’t think I can pair my original echo remote with this Gen4. I was using it all the time when building grocery lists. The option doesn’t appear in the Alexa App for this device, but it does for others. :(
