Six months, I bought this extended warranty for my iPad external keyboard because my previous two keyboards stopped working. The price seems fair. The warranty kicks in after Apple’s one-year warranty expires, so I have no idea if I will need to make a claim on it or if the claim will be handled quickly.

Apple starts their warranty when a retailer buys a product. Amazon got the keyboard in July 2020 and I bought it in November 2020. So when I took it to the Genius Bar in September 2021, I was told that Apple's warranty had expired.

A quick call to Asurion and I got a mailing label to send the non-working keyboard to them. I got an Amazon gift card for my purchase price (not the current price which is a few dollars more).

So I'll buy a protection plan from Asurion again if it's offered.
