I have tried several baking powders, with or without aluminum etc., different brands, but this one is the most reliable one and the easiest to use because in comes in little packets, i.e., premeasured. I live in higher altitude (about 5400')and have never had a problem unlike with other products. Not so far, anyway :-). I bake from scratch, usually do not use any baking soda/powder at all, but for cakes that have heavier fruit on top (buckle cakes)some aid might be necessary, and this is it. Worth the price even with the expensive shipping (that costs more than the b.p. itself). Not sure why local stores do not carry this; it is a pretty common brand. Overall, very happy with the baking powder!
