First, I'm very happy with this Soap Foam Dispenser. Four stars because it has some quirks. I see reviews that are posted just a few days after the unit is received, but I wanted to live with it for a while before reviewing.
It comes with a little shot glass to measure how much liquid soap to add (I use free + clear dish washing soap) then add water to the fill line. A habit I carried over from my manual suds pump days is, once I put the Dispenser back together, I shake it to mix the soap and water together.

After a few months here’s what I found:
The soap level window doesn’t work. I can’t see it, no matter what angle it’s viewed from in my brightly lit kitchen. I’ve learned to ignore this and just wait until the Dispenser starts to sputter suds, which means it’s time to refill.

Early on the Dispenser would be nearly full and start to sputter suds. When I twisted the unit open it resisted separating, indicating a partial vacuum. Maybe if you didn’t shake your soap/water solution this wouldn’t happen – my solution was to use a wire-gauge bit to drill a pinhole in the side of the unit (picture). Ever since, I’ve had smooth sailing with the Soap Foam Dispenser. We use it all the time to wash hands, wash dishes, and soap up the scrubber to clean the kitchen – it really is very handy. The price for the features you get (i.e. bang for buck) is really good.
