Baking powder's main ingredient is corn starch and this one has a message on the can stating "Contains a bioengineered food ingredient." The corn starch is GMO, such as either Roundup Ready Corn (GMO) or GMO corn that contains the DNA segments from bacillis thuringiensis (BT) which makes holes in the corn worm parasite intestine killing the worm. This GMO process is why you don't see bins of partially bug-eaten ears of corn at the supermarket. GMO improves crop yields but I'd rather not risk boring small holes through my single cell thick intestines. Just wanted to pass along that this baking powder isn't non-GMO.
