I watched a story about a survivor of the 1918 flu pandemic, she was 100 years old and said her mother used to give her and her entire family a half teaspoon of baking soda every morning with breakfast. They were the only family in town who didn't get it and basically took care of everyone else. So I googled the heath benefits of baking soda and was really surprised at what I found from some very reputable sources. It has to do with neutralizing the pH in your body. Its cheap so I though I would give it a try,.....I feel more comfortable using a high quality organic baking soda since I’m using it everyday. My husband and sister-in-law are all on board with this as well. My sister-in-law has failing kidneys and she read where this is supposed to slow the progression of kidney disease. She said she wished she would have read that sooner. Could it be this simple? Who knows, but we are giving it a try. After all,....this is a main ingredient in a lot of over the counter cold and flu meds.


We have been making a cocktail of half a packet of stevia lemon drink, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp organic pure vitamin C powder and 4 ounces of clean filtered water. It has a fizzy salty taste.
