This is not a kid's show for the frequent use of horrible, foul language.
I drove to see this at the theater 45 minutes away from my home. I went excited because the last Jumanji was so fun and funny but soon found that the foul language in this sequel was terrible and frequent and the storyline was just okay. I'd give the writers and producers a do over, only this time make it kid friendly like it should be.

Not impressed bad language very disappointed

Plot was ok a bunch of good actors playing bad parts. I found all the cursing from Jack Black with the young black man voice disconserting. I came real close to turn it off. It was not child friendly. I think the whole movie could have been better cleaner or given a heavier rating.

What's with the excessive language?

My family and I were really looking forward to this movie. Now, I can cuss enough to make a sailor show respect upon occasion, but really? The first twenty minutes they used the "gd" word so many times I lost count. Of the plethora of words they could use, why that one? This is supposed to be a family movie and it is most definitely not. The story is good, the acting is fine, but frankly, I want my money back. I didn't get this movie just to listen to someone cuss at me - particularly with a word I find personally offensive. I gave birth to two ten pound babies without medication so if the writers need some good cuss words for the next movie that won't be so offensive, come talk to me, I can help you out. As for this movie, I'm going to make sure everyone I know with kids understands that the language ruins the movie and this is NOT family friendly.

It "drags" and not suitable for kids!

Big departure from the first one. While I did enjoy seeing Karen Gillan more, the movie just dragged on and on! I kept wondering when it would be over. But the big shocker was the language! The first one I watched with my kids, and it really didn't raise any "red flags" with me,......this one, way , way, way too much adult language. I finally had my kids leave the room. I know many time sequel does not meet up with the first, but this wasn't just not as good, but a bad departure! Sony- smash the movie's video game and don't go back!

Decent sequel
Sure, this is generally the same story structure as the first, the characters are trapped in a video game and have to win it to get out, but I found Jumanji: the Next Level to be a fairly entertaining time.

The movie's biggest strength is it is just having fun. Humor works pretty well, though a bit about the two elderly new comers to the game Eddie and Milo having trouble understanding what is going was stretched way too long. The characters all still work well off each of each other.

The action is bigger than the first and pretty impressive. I liked that their are more animal threats in this, which make the events feel more diverse. The film looks nice. The location is shifted from the traditional jungle to other exotic locales keeping things fresh.

The best new additions are Eddied, the crotchety old guy, and Milo, the affable but long-winded old guy. These guys serve as fresh new eyes to the world of Jumanji and are pretty funny, but their best aspect is their interactions with each other and the personal story of how these two once friends became estranged.

The cast playing the video game avatars that the characters become continue to do a great job. This time, some of them are given a chance to play different people. Everyone's pretty versatile. Awkwafina's in this and she is equally talented. I'm disappointed that Danny Devito and Danny Glover as the real world Eddie and Milo aren't in more of this, because I felt these were one of their best roles.

We really didn't need Nick Jonas back in this. He's mainly here because he was in the last one. The guy doesn't add much, especially since the cast is a little full as it is. Also, I felt the part of the introduction with real world Spencer (Alex Wolff) was a little rushed.

The villain in this Jurgen the Brutal (Rory McCann) has a little more to him than the paper-thin villain from the last film but not by much. You probably won't think of him after seeing this.

Overall, I liked the first movie, because the concept was fresher but this is a fun ride.

I was so excited when I saw Jumanji was coming out with another movie! Part 1 is excellent, I've watched it a dozen times. I preordered part 2 and waited with anticipation to recieve it.
Jumanji The Next Level "Sucked!" I am so disappointed with the overall start to finish. There is nothing in the movie that captured my attention. So, I watched it one more time. My first instinct is correct, Horrible! The entire story/movie, the acting. . . I would tell those thinking about buying it, DON'T!
IN FINAL, THIS MOVIE FROM START, MIDDLE, END. . . IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Part 1 was excellent!

I was a fan of the original film and then when Jumanji : Welcome to the Jungle was announced I thought that it would be a disaster but it turns out I was wrong and I laughed my butt off and I was hoping for a sequel because it was so funny and so much fun.

Jumanji : The Next Level take it is to literally the next level. The cast is great and funny and the premise to get them all back in to the game is wonderful.

The quaility of the blu ray is top notch and the picture and sound are amazing as well.

I would recomend this movie to any lover of the original and sequel for your collection.
