I may have a weak spot when it comes to Little Golden Books because I had so many growing up when I was first learning to read. I still have many of mine now that my daughters are able to enjoy. My youngest daughter, 5, went to see this movie with my fiance when it first came out and it was her first theater experience. When I saw they had a Golden Book for it, I knew it would be the perfect Christmas present from Daddy to daughter! When I first received it, I went to open it to read it and you could tell it had never been opened. I decided against reading it myself because I remember the fun of "cracking" a book for the first time and wanted to save that for my daughter! :) I definitely recommend buying this book for your little ones or to just add to your growing collection!

Better Dinosaur Themed Books Out There

ok so this is partially my fault as I had never seen the movie before buying this for my kid who likes dinosaurs but all I gotta say is that this adaptation of the movie (which after watching it is weird as hell any way you cut it) is also pretty weird and I would advise against getting this for your kid unless they're very specifically into The Good Dinosaur. If you just want books about Dinosaurs there are plenty of others, for example "My Little Golden Book About Dinosaurs" and "I'm A T-Rex" in the Little Golden Books series that are way better as general dinosaur books.

My 2 year old granddaughter watched tv for the first time when her sister was born and this was her first movie. She became obsessed with it and with TV. She asked for Good Dino multiple times during the day and at 2 that's a no! I came to the rescue with this book. She prefers this book over the movie and back to no TV! She doesn't even ask for the movie anymore.

This is the Little Golden Book version of the recent Disney Pixar movie, The Good Dinosaur. It is the really fun and cute adventure story of the dinosaur Arlo, who is trying to earn his place in the world, and the human child that Arlo names Spot. The book is wonderfully illustrated and is the perfect length for reading to a toddler or pre-schooler or even an older child. My 3.5 year old grandson absolutely loved the story. The book itself is very high quality and should hold up for a long time, as Little Golden Books do when they are cared for. I'm sure like me you have some from as many as fifty years ago.

Whats not to love about these books. I bought this for my 2 year old daughter and can't wait to read these to her. I remember these books when I was little. I wish I still had these books from when i was a little girl so I could show my little girl look mommy had the same books when I was your age.
Great book for a 2 year old as they can lose interest pretty quickly.

Saw the same book at Barnes and Noble for wayyyy more than what it is offered for here. Came in a nice flat package and was undamaged. Brand new and clean and we put it right to work when we opened it. Great story and definitely great for kids. You're going to want to purchase this and be pleased when you do!
