Flavoring medical food...

We use this brand of cocoa to add flavor to Elecare jr. Unflavored (liquid medical food).
My teenager gets 100% of her nutrition from drinking Elecare. The cost is roughly $1000 a month, and insurance will only cover the cost of the unflavored Elecare. It saves a lot of money flavoring her drinks with this instead. She loves it, and it's always shipped fast and packaged well.

cadmium levels too high for kids

The flavor is nice, but Consumer lab tested it and it contains cadmium that exceeds the EU's total daily exposure limit for children. Don't freak yet! Cocoa is commonly contaminated with tiny amounts of cadmium and sometimes even lead (via air & soil), but checking lab reports for purity is prudent when it comes to children. I've tried quite a few different brands of cocoa powder, organic and non. For the price and quality, this one is a GREAT deal. Tastes rich and amazing, not a lot is needed depending on recipes and such. I've used it for everything from hot cocoa, to cakes, to pudding, to homemade coconut chocolate butter. It's delicious and even as often as I use it, the tub lasts a while. Can't beat the price either. Really great quality and nutritionally beneficial, too. Doesn't hurt that I absolutely LOVE Now Brand supplements and never question their products being winners. Very happy to see that translates into their food products, as well.

I am very happy with this organic cocoa powder. I am doing my best to live healthy so I go organic as much as possible.I bought this to use in a dark chocolate recipe and it is wonderful! I use 3/4 cup of coconut oil (organic) 3/4 cup of raw honey & 3/4 cup of organic cocoa and pinch of salt.melt coconut oil then add honey, cocoa and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Whisk together till well blended. Poor into parchment lined dish and place in refrigerator till set. Store in refrigerator. Can sprinkle a little salt on top before putting in fridge and get the sweet and salty taste. Wonderful!!!

No headaches, no migraines when use this product. I get migraines from plain store bought cocoa and think is due to sulfite... chemical contamination on machines shared with processed nuts and also non-organic cocoa may contain sulfites...
Got to stay on this cocoa instead of giving into that toxic pepsi, coco cola!

Update; it's been a couple months on this organic cocoa and its perfect! No migraines like I get with the non-organic grocery store varieties.

This proves it; Non-organic; the machines businesses, manufacturers process nuts, seeds, soy, candy, pasta and cocoa beans... are contaminated with sulfites, MSG and other poisons.

I notice spagetti, dried pasta and peanut butter has been contaminated. There is melamine in imported chinese wheat, soy... and it's in alot of our food, maily precessed, dried or powdered... If I import wheat noodles, pasta from a farmer/chef from Italy who grows his own wheat, grain (no added imported wheat, soy) I don't get sick. I can also eat an entire jar of organic peanuts and not get sick but the peanut butter; sick! Whats in our food?

A U.S. republican President (George) once stated he wanted to get all the poison out of our food supply. He is concerned about the publics health an dhis family, children. This includes speaking about toxic aspartame... So far, nothing done, he does not often speak of the problem now. Why? Big business, people selling these drugs, toxins had a 'talk' with him, forced him to avoid the subject or...

Most cocoa makes my throat sore, because it's alkaline from the treatment they do with it. This does not. It has a bit of a fruity flavor to it, and I love it. Very tasty.
