Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I love Chebe bread and pizza crusts, so I was ecstatic to see this. Unfortunately, the couple of times I've tried the product, it has just been unappetizingly chewy. I'm not sure if it's the baking powder (which is optional), or the lack of cheese that makes the other products so good, but I'm not a fan of this. I tried it first as cinnamon rolls - all my cinnamon-y goodness fell right out the bottom, and the bread was chewy. Then I decided to make regular buns (like hamburger bun size) to make peanut butter sandwiches - also chewy. I'll stick with the other products in the future. If you haven't already tried their regular bread mix, by all means start there - it's incredible!
The flavor was great, and they were very easy to make, but you're paying for nothing more than tapioca flour with cinnamon in it. The butter was mine, the eggs were mine, the cinnamon for the filling was mine, and the brown sugar was mine. Also, these are mini muffins - not full size, and the mix only makes 12 -15 (I got 13 with my cuts). Very tasty, but not worth the price tag.
I was so thrilled with the Chebe pizza dough, and breads I bought that I had dreams that the Chebe cinnamon roll mix would be the same. But they didn't turn out. They where not airy like the other breads, and like every other gluten free cinnamon roll I have tried, the sugar rolled into the middle just cooks the dough to quick. Sad.
I have tried this mix a couple times. Each time it leaves a lot to be desired. Even my family who will eat most things gluten free, won't touch these. I love their other products. I really wanted to love these but that is not the fact.
I bought a case of this, so I've tried it several times. No matter what I do, I end up with misshapen, dried-out, not very tasty rolls. Very different from the original cheese bread mix which everyone likes (including the gluten-eating ones).
