This is the old reliable product in one-pound boxes. I use it to scrub down my glass stove top. I use it to follow citric acid to blow out drains. It has always kept odors out of the freezer. If you mix it with salt and hot water with a piece of aluminum foil it will detarnish your silver.

"Drug down the road" from orgination

Baking soda boxes were packed into a flimsy open box and then thrown in a big box to bang around and get powder over everything even powder falling out of the outer box which was opened too. Seriously I order for convenience - not to spend time wiping off all my items and 24 boxes of baking soda after a 15 hour day! They slapped multiple "heavy" warning stickers on the box -so they should have known to take extra care! I felt like my baking soda boxes had been drug down the pavement from their origination. Not exactly what you want to put in your fridge, clean your house or brush your teeth with!

My first effort to remove oil & grease 'sludge' from the garage floor was a surprising success - I read about using either Dawn dishwashing liquid or backing soda so, what the heck, I combined the ideas. I wet down the area, made a paste using both and scrubbed them in lightly with a scrub brush. The next morning, I poured boiling water over the area (not much needed) and watched the hot water wash away the oil & grease as I poured it over the treated area. I again used a scrub brush and easily cleaned the treated area, then rinsed it all away with a hose. The results were amazing. I've applied a second layer today to see how much more I can get out. I had been prepared to buy special chemicals. The garage now smells great, too!

I thought I could buy discounted baking soda today in bulk or larger packages to do all the garage floor, but the price of a 16oz (1 lb) box at my grocery is 79 cents, and each box in this bulk purchase runs today at over a dollar a box, I guess I'll just buy a lot of 1-lb boxes at the grocery store.

An oldie but goodie! This has so many uses! Baking and cooking, cleaning, add to laundry for extra clean clothes, use with toothpaste for while teeth, mix with water and use as a natural deodorant, place open box in the fridge for odor control, mix in the litter box to eliminate odor, and an all time favorite use as the base for an erupting volcano, just add vinegar!!

Be price aware, this is very inexpensive in the stores.
