It is CORN FREE!!!

I baked cranberry oatmeal cookies for my wife. Your product was essential because unlike most other baking powder products, your product is made WITHOUT corn. Most other baking powder , is made with CORN STARCH and my wife is very allergic to ANYTHING with corn in it. So I baked cookies with your corn-free baking powder and the cookies were AWESOME!

What a waste.

I ordered this because it does not contain aluminum and I couldn't find my usual brand and had been out for a while. So when it came I was excited to make baking powder biscuits and sausage gravy, yum! I used my usual recipe which always comes out great but what a disappointment! The biscuits came out like thick crackers. I have never in 50 years of baking had biscuits come out like this. But I gave it a second chance when I made corn bread muffins the other night hoping for the best, and got the worst. I even shook the can well before measuring it out. Again, hardly raised at all. Checked the use by date... 20322 which I assume means Feb 2, 2022. Couldn't order just one so...two cans going into the trash. I do not recommend this product.

Yeah. no. I opened one of these about 3 weeks after I received them and there was black mold around the inside. No nice metal 'shelf' to even the teaspoon off like my usual baking powder. Just tossed both canisters and bought the Bakewell non-aluminum Baking Powder directly from King Arthur Baking Company.

Has Sulfites! Potato Starch!

I bought this when Amazon quit carrying the kind I was using. I am deathly yes, deathly allergic to sulfites. Potato starch is processed with sulfites. This won't work for me and it is non-returnable even though it is not opened. I will give it away I guess.

I use baking powder daily. Prior to opening the first container I shook the can. Nothing happened. On opening the can I found the contents were solid. I had to scrape the "powder" out with a stainless spoon -- product was crusty and lumpy all the way to the bottom of the can and I had to sift the "powder" it to use it. I will never purchase this product again. I suppose there's a reason it's not returnable!

It's becoming harder to find aluminum free baking powder. With the loss of Hoosier Hill, I gave this product a try. It came out of the container with hard clumps that I have to press through a sifter to break up. Additionally, it doesn't leaven much at all. My biscuit recipe, which is infamous for producing biscuits that rise so high they topple, barely rise at all. Consistently. Not buying this brand again.
