5.0 out of 5 starsSmooth and Comfortable Mouse
Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2016
I bought this mouse for at home using my laptop. I love this mouse. I feel that it is the perfect size for my hands. I attached a picture of how the mouse fits in my hands. The size of it makes it easy to travel with. I haven't had any blue tooth connections issues either. I was skeptical about buying this mouse because I saw some complaints about the scrolling. I actually love the scrolling, it scrolls very smooth and not too fast or slow. I also saw complaints about how the mouse runs through batteries too quickly, but I have not noticed any issue with that so far. The mouse comes with a battery already in it, but it is not name brand so I don't expect this one to last long. That could be what all of the complaints are about. If you want to get full life out of the mouse you might want to get a name brand battery for it. It only takes one AA so it is not expensive to get. Another suggestion as far as the battery issues is to turn the mouse off when you won't be using it for awhile to preserve the battery. There is a convenient on and off switch located under the mouse. The side of the mouse has some grip to it so that it is comfortable to hold onto. The mouse itself moves with ease, there is no catching or slowing down. I would definitely buy this mouse again or recommend it to anyone.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
3.0 out of 5 starsNice ergonomics, works well, until it doesn't
Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2022
I've never had a mouse wear out before. I've had them get gunked up. I've had them wear down on the surface, taken them apart and cleaned them, etc.

This basic mouse works very well, and a few months in you'll notice that the scroll wheel now slides freely without the built in precision resistance. Okay, not really a big deal, so I keep using it. I replace a battery in something like a year, and keep going. Then, it starts experiencing keyhop on the left mouse button after maybe 18 or 20 months.

I wouldn't make a big deal about this, except exactly the same thing happened with two units. I'm a software guy and use it all day every day, so spending $10-$15 bucks on a mouse that feels right every couple years is no big deal, but maybe you want to keep a spare handy so it doesn't catch you by surprise.

It absolutely would get five stars for value and ergonomics, if only two mice didn't have exactly the same problems, so early in their lives. It's a pity, because I didn't buy it for the price. I bought it for its simple features and excellent feel in my hand. I'm not quite sure if I'll buy another. I'm not used to buying replacement products after they break in a couple years, even if they are cheap. I wasn't raised that way.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite wireless mouse
Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2020
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
I have purchased countless of these m325 wireless mice over the years, both for myself, family, friends, and for work. Note that the m325c model is slightly different, and I prefer the m325.

Battery life on these mice is excellent - I've gotten well over a year with the included AA battery. I do tend to switch off the mouse when leaving my computer for a while (leaving work, leaving my home PC overnight, etc) but I don't always switch them off.

I really like the feel of the scroll wheel on the m325. I turns easily and you can give it a good flick and it will spin on its own. I've even turned off the mouse and used the scroll wheel as a stress reliever (sort of like a fidget spinner). After using the m325, I can't stand the scroll wheels on any other mice.

One thing to note is that the mouse can become unresponsive for finicky when the receiver is close to some RF signals. For example, if you plug the receiver into a USB 3 port and then plug a USB 3 hard drive into the adjacent port, it will most probably affect the way the mouse works. I usually try to plug the USB receiver into a USB port away from any other cables, and I have even used short USB extension cables to get the receiver away from other wires. If you are finding that this mouse is not working well for you (not moving, jumping, moving slowly or with a jitter) make sure there are no other cables near the USB receiver, and/or try a different USB port.

The regular color options are all nice - my favorite are the purple and blue ones. The black is unobtrusive if that's what you need, and they grey/silver is just boring. There are many fancy designs but many of those are the inferior m325c so double check before purchasing.

Years ago, Logitech had these mice packaged in a plastic package that was almost impossible to open without hurting yourself. They have since remedied that problem, and now there is a tab to pull to open the plastic package. The battery comes installed and you just need to pull a tab. Plug the receiver into your computer and you're good to go. You don't really need to install the software just to use the mouse in the regular way. However, if you want to use extra features, have an on-screen low battery warning, or add devices to your receiver, then you'll need to install it (a painless process and the software runs unobtrusively on your computer without any nagging).

The mouse is physically a little small, but I have large hands and I don't mind it. It doesn't have a crazy amount of buttons like some of the complex ones, and it might be the highest accuracy mouse for gaming or design work. I have used it for Photoshop, video editing, and music workstation (DAW) software and I find it adequate, but these are not my lively hood.

One last note: I've seen the price on these mice range from below $15.00 to over $30.00. Sometimes it depends upon the color, or the seller/store. If you shop around, you should be able to easily find them at the cheaper end of the price spectrum.

Seriously, this is my favorite mouse. I've been tempted with some of the more "capable" models, but ultimately I stick with the m325. I've personally purchased, or been the decision maker to purchase over 200 of them. There are at least 8 of them in my house as I write this review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good mouse overall, just some minor issues I ran into
Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2016
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
Overall good mouse, as I am a Logitech fan. However there are a couple issues I ran into (see below).

Review:
Small mouse convenient for carrying around. The small USB that you plug into the computer is docked nicely on the bottom of the mouse (have to remove cover where battery is to access it).

The cosmetic condition of the mouse is actually not "new" as I saw scuff marks around the mouse as if it was used or refurbished. Also, the mouse doesn't seem to work well with a mouse pad (normal padded one with a fabric on top). The laser on the mouse picks up the small thread patterns and makes it annoying to use the mouse on the pad. What I mean is, the mouse cursor does not move in a straight line but often angles while moving the mouse side to side. Over time, this gets very annoying. I just stopped using the mouse pad and just use it on the hard surface of my desk.

PROS:
* Great portability (small) and USB dock inside battery area makes it easier to not lose the little USB that comes with it
* Good battery life
* Can work on almost any surface, like a desk, with no issues
* Works right out of the box - plug and use
* Comes with a battery (AA)

CONS:
- Does have some scuffs on the mouse (exterior) as if it were used
- May be too sensitive to use on a regular mouse pad - randomly angles your mouse cursor so making it very annoying to click on anything small on the computer

3.0 out of 5 stars ONLY for scrolling
Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2017
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
So I needed a mouse immediately since I lost one. I understand that this mouse is for web scrolling, but I didn't thought that this would work ONLY for web scrolling. I wonder why Logitech would make mice for this specific purpose...

Things I like:
- My hands are small so the size works perfectly.
- It doesn't take up a lot of space in my bag: I bring it with me everyday.
- It uses Logitech unifying technology. I have four Logitech devices including this one connected to one receiver, neat!
- It has two additional side clicks on the wheel through which you can go backward and forward on a browser.
That's about it...

Things you should consider before buying this little mouse:
- Scrolling will skip pages on your PowerPoint slides, PDF files, etc. You really can't control the page you want to be at. Instead, you should use arrow key on your keyboard to go to the exact page.
- I use the middle (wheel) button a lot for closing tabs, using 3D software, and etc. This will accidentally scroll before clicking because the wheel is very "smooth", which I found very annoying.

I really don't see a point of a mouse designed for web-scrolling only. If all you do is rolling the wheel.. this probably works, but who does...? If you need a small mouse while travelling, changes are that you are using it for work or study. This little mouse may fit your suitcase nicely, but be prepared to be annoyed on your PowerPoint slides. Don't even think about using it for presentation.

Bottomline: if you only browse with your computer, this one works. If you do more than browsing with your computer, look something else.

2.0 out of 5 stars I love(d) this little mouse
Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2022

It's just the right size for me and works great. At first. After buying 4 of them what I DON'T like is how the scroll wheel eventually becomes so stiff/tight it's unusable. It's not accumulated 'gunk' in the mechanism. I've taken it apart and there is nothing visible that would prevent the wheel from turning. The only explanation I can come up with is somehow the 'rubber' on the outside of the wheel is somehow swelling/enlarging and rubbing against the plastic mechanism that holds the wheel. I have no idea what might cause this

I'm on my last (4th) M325 and won't be buying any more. It's a shame because if not for the scroll wheel issue it would rate 5 stars

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Product at nice price
Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2022
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
I just wanted to get a good basic wireless mouse at a reasonable price. I don't do gaming, so I don't have any comment about that and I've only been using this mouse for a couple weeks, so battery life is still open. The mouse is functioning well and I'm very satisfied. The only problem I had is that I kept getting a message that I could open up a USB port because I have two devices that could share one USB plug. By trial and error I tried to determine what other device could share the same USB plug with the new mouse, but unsuccessful. I finally gave up and went back to using two. I'm sure that there's a way to figure this out, but it's not a big deal for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Never got to use it
Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2019

I like Logitech products a lot. I am typing on the K750 solar keyboard in black and have another one in white. I have had other keyboards (many), mice. cameras, and headsets for Skype--all Logitech and all worked great. This particular mouse and dongle proved a different situation. The package arrived sealed and undamaged, but there was a powder inside the plastic shell. I opened and removed the mouse and dongle I found dust all over them. After opening the battery compartment on the mouse I discovered why: the included and installed battery had ruptured and fused itself to mouse down inside with corrosion.

I believe the dongle and mouse would have performed well, but despite the inclusion of a tab (or perhaps because of) to separate the positive battery terminal, the whole mouse was a loss. I think that this is a mistake on the part of Logitech, to include a battery, and certainly to load it into the mouse, as the damage done was not even reversible with cleaning--the corrosion was too far inside.

I believe that I would rather not have a standard battery included and run this risk with my future orders. Besides which I use rechargeable AA and AAA in my non solar devices. The battery would have been recycled anyway. To Amazon's credit, my return was smooth and easy, my refund coming back after I dropped off the packaged to UPS. To Logitech I would say drop the non-rechargeable batteries OR place them in shell separately like the dongle so if they erupt they do not ruin the device.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple mouse, great battery life...
Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2019

Doesn't feel very substantial --- light weight, cheap plastic materials -- but it does its job as a basic mouse. It was purchased for a client who just wanted a simple one-button mouse, but, of course, no one makes those anymore.... Needless to say, said individual isn't doing anything taxing with the mouse so it has held up well.

Operating system experience from this tech.: Apple OS 7-X.14+ ... It has worked without problems with any Apple/Mac. with a USB port. Has shown to have no issues with the receiver connected through a USB hub either.

I will note than this mouse does display inconsistencies with tracking on shiny surfaces. No problems using it with a mousepad though. Battery life has been around 2yrs.

Mouse is good and functional. However it arrived without the USB adapter, wile package stated it should be included. The package looked closed, original and untamplered with. I have a couple of these spare, so I could plug one in and install the mouse.
No other complains so far.

Edit: The USB adapter was not missing. It was hiding behind the battery door. I just realized it after reading another post here. There ore nothing is missing, and the mouse is as good as advertised. I revised my rating to 5 stars.
