Wanted to like it, but it's flavorless in my recipes

I wanted a big bottle of almond extract for my baking duties. My first chore was baking almond poppy seed muffins which calls for only two tablespoons of almond extract. Two tablespoons is what I always use, and the muffins turn out flavorful aromatic and delicious!
Sadly, I couldn't taste the flavor on Butlers brand of almond extract in my recipe. Again, there was ZERO flavor. All I could taste was the other ingredients in the mix. The scent was mild, albeit pleasant in the bottle, but it essentially disappeared after baking. My guess is it would take triple or quadruple the quantity to get the expected almond extract intensity that's required (at least for my recipes). Unfortunately, now I have a big bottle of almond extract that doesn't appear to be as potent as some of the mainstream store-bought products. What a huge disappointment.
Under the product description, it reads "Pure Almond Extract is made with almond oil and alcohol. This extract is especially good in cookies and cakes." That's partly what drew me to this particular brand. That, along with the no frills packaging gave me the impression that I'd be purchasing a home grown quality product.
In looking at other reviewers of this product, they have also mentioned the lack of potency of this brand. I would encourage others that are looking for a more potent brand of almond extract to look elsewhere. At $19.00 for a 32 ounce bottle, and having to use many times the amount, I don't recommend Butlers brand of almond extract and can only rate it at one star.
