Great product, but 32 oz it is not

So, let’s get one thing straight: including the container weight as part of the product weight is false advertising. No, this is not 32 oz of coconut oil; it’s 30 oz with a container that weighs 2 oz. How do I know? It’s 90 F and my tub-o-oil arrived fully melted, so I pulled out the ol’ kitchen scale to do some sleuthing after peeking into a suspiciously low-filled container.

Do I love the product? Duh, it’s great. But if I had been trying to buy exactly 32 oz for a recipe would I be pissed to make this discovery of being short-changed that sweet, sweet additional 2 oz I was promised? Sure would.

This can’t be 100% coconut oil. Coconut oil, like other oils, have a certain melting point and there are pieces in this product that melt at a different temperature.

I use coconut oil on the skin, and it ALL should melt the same on my skin IF it was 100%, but as you can see there are pieces in it that literally will not melt on the skin. Even If I continue to hold it and even pinch the pieces, my body heat will not melt them. This says that these pieces are either a WAX or a different oil with a higher melting point.

This brand should not be labeling it as 100% coconut oil if they are adding fillers.

I like the oil itself but I am disappointed that 2/3rds of the canister is empty. The old style canister was clear, and the new one is white so you can't see how much oil there is. They must have filled 1/3rd of the canister while the oil is liquid, then turned it upside down to let the oil solidify on top. If I'm getting less than half the canister in oil for my money, then I'm only giving less than half the stars.

Use this all the time but something wrong with this one. Look mouldy and weird on top. Ordered a new one, Amazon promptly responded w/ refund. But need some better quality control there. Now I'll be out for several days. I buy other things from this brand and hope quality control is better that this time kinda scary.

HUGE hole in the middle of jar, more hole than product.

I think the packaging of the product may need to change. When I received the product, though the seal was closed, the outside felt extremely oily, as if the product has seeped through the bottom. So I checked the bottom, thankfully there wasn't a hole. It was still quite strange though. But I ignored it and continued usage, though it was slightly annoying that I always had to grip a towel to open the lid.

The consistency of the product felt off to me, but the smell and taste of the product was definitely coconut. I alternate between keeping it in the fridge and on the shelves. Honestly, like many of the people have commented, the product goes bad extremely quick. When it's in liquid form, I can see the beginnings of *something* growing at the bottom. So I recommend dividing the product into different containers and storing them in the fridge. But that is such a hassle.

Coconut oil has a long shelf life, so I was hoping to get a lot more out of product, hence I ordered in bulk. I don't know if the customer representatives would be willing to send a replacement, but keep an eye out for things on the bottom!
