If you like Patchouli, you have to try this!!

I like my clothes to smell clean and have always used Tide. I also am an avid fan of essential oils and patchouli being one of my favorites, had to try. Over the last few days, I've had many compliments about how good I smell as it is not overwhelming but subtle enough to notice. I personally don't notice the smell ON me as I go about my day, but others do and my laundry room smells FAB!

Pictured is a food stain that didn’t come out in the laundry.
I wanted to love this laundry soap. I love the smell of patchouli.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t clean anything. If you are a pristine, clean, elegant person then it may work. But for me- Ms. Pitstains MessyEater- it isn’t enough.
Adding more soap won’t help cleaning; it’ll only leave residue.

Furthermore the patchouli smell wanes with the rinse cycle. The idea of a natural, patchouli scented laundry soap is appealing. But when it doesn’t clean and the smell doesn’t linger; what’s the point?
There is none. Don’t pay extra for something that doesn’t do its only two jobs: clean your clothes and leave them smelling nice.

Contrastly, I’ve used a smaller bottle of the frankincense laundry soap by this brand. It seemed to work better. But that was years ago.. perhaps their formula changed and cheapened.

Really effective laundry soap, and only small amounts are needed per load. Someone warned me that the fragrance would get all but lost in the tumble dryer. That couldn’t have been more wrong. Everything smells of patchouli now, which is what I wanted.

So, not the cleanser, but I was at the Dr having a breakdown and the nurse who hugged me smelled so good! I stopped bawling long enough to ask what she used on her clothing--then I went home and bought some, leaving zero dollars for food for the week.
I didn't *really* believe I was going to get the claimed 64 loads, which was my first priority. I was happy about the limited packaging and the planet-based goodness, but I decided to keep track of the loads. This was a HUGE project for me. We are two adults, probably run 4 loads per week through our HE stackable washer/dryer. You can see from the photo--I stopped keeping track in September. Our clothing is soft, it smells good, we're damaging the planet less, AND my frugal nature is satisfied. WIN!

This is my favourite laundry soap. I have been using this hippy treat for several years now and get compliments. I do wish they had a sandalwood or sandalwood patchouli or perhaps a bit of frangipani but even my neighbor compliments as my clothes hit the dry and the vent wafts the aroma over into his yard. :) Peace man.

Our son has eczema, so we're constantly searching for the best products that won't irritate his skin. I love the smell of laundry detergent, but typically we have to choose unscented products because the chemical scents cause skin irritations and rashes on his body. We love Zum laundry soaps because they don't seem to bother anyone's skin yet leave the clothes clean and great-smelling. I first ordered the Zum Patchouli-Frankincense detergent that comes in the smaller, 32-ounce size. I love the smell of both detergents, but I prefer the bigger, 64-oz size because the lid is easier to pour into and the bottle lasts longer. At times, I use a little more than the product suggests and it doesn't seem to leave a detergent stain like other detergents can do in my washing machine. I do feel like this detergent doesn't require as much fabric softener (maybe due to the essential oils?), but I do throw a fragrance-free sheet in my dryer to eliminate the static that is a problem in winter months. I'll continue to buy this product religiously!

This stuff is great! I'm a Tide user of over 15 years and decided that I wanted a few items to smell like patchouli, so I gave this a try! Works great! After the first shirt that I wore was removed and put in the laundry, I could still smell the scent when it was about to go back into the wash. With that said, it's light and subtle. Not over powering at all.

This stuff is great for a few loads here and there, but I don't plan to ditch my Tide!

Love this! It is ultra concentrated / I have an XL HE washer and a scant capful Cleans clothes well and I am often told how good I smell. I do not use fabric softener with it and I don't miss it. I am hooked and have personally recommended this to my friends! So happy that I tried this.
My only suggestion would be a bottle with a cap that drains back into the bottle - it can get a bit messy with drips from the cap.

I've used this stuff for years and I always get compliments on the way that I smell- and they're often compliments that pick up on the patchouli right away! Many times I've been at work or at the store and someone will ask if I'm wearing patchouli. I think I get used to the smell of this soap, so I used to get confused and say "no, but thanks for the compliment!" before I realized they were smelling my clothes! I've also had friends come over, do some laundry, and when they get back home tell me that their clothes smell like my house and that it was a really nice smell. Some of these friends have sensitive skin and can't use detergents or soap with harsh chemicals or fragrances, and they've all been unbothered by this product.

This has sort of become my signature scent over the years, and even when I'm not wearing any other fragrances, I always smell nice, and not in an overpowering way, either. It's a subtle, comforting smell.

It really does its job well too- and even though it's a little pricier that the cheap stuff, a little goes a long way. One cap-full is enough for a regular load in my high efficiency washer, and when I have a heavy load or I just really want that stronger patchouli scent, I'll use two. A bottle lasts me months.

I can't say enough good things about this product. The fact that it's natural, eco-friendly and cruelty free are just icing on the cake. Love love love!

I started using plant based detergent over a year ago. I saw this product on Amazon and saw it contains patchouli scent which I love. It's really amazing just how well it cleans and gets every bit of dirt and stains out of my laundry. If that weren't enough it leaves a beautiful lite sent of patchouli on my sheets and clothes that lasts a long time. Another wonderful thing is you dont need to add a softner to the wash, yes really. This detergent is totally amazing and will save money not having to add softener is a major plus. Thank you for a amazing product, it works fantastical!!!
