I am a baker. I use food coloring to color royal icing, buttercream, ganache, doughs, macarons... all kinda of treats. I’ve tried every kind of food color you can imagine. Americolor is my absolute fav. I use it as if I’m in my art studio at home mixing regular paints and it works just as beautifully as a high quality acrylic. The white is not really a gel as it is very liquid. I use it to make a bright white treat. I also use it as a base for other colors to make the other colors more vibrant. This is a must have for decorators.

***RIPOFF*** At first I was happy with it, but then I realized that this is a totally rip off.... you need the double to make white frosting and they sell this new bottle as a 20oz. And is not is a 13.5 oz..the label reads 20 oz but is a 13.5 oz bottle.
They won't let me.post a photo

Never thought I would ever buy white food coloring!
This is great though. I add a tablespoon to a double batch of American buttercream. It helps downgrade the yellow tint I get from using butter. It doesn't turn it pure white but there is a difference that I like.

Never leaves any specs, blends well, and indeed comes in 20oz filled to the top! Powder colors are trending right now, but this is a better value and honestly Ameicolor colors do not take much time to develop at all. I always order here in a time crunch or directly off their website sometimes.

I love the fact that I can whiten cake icing. When icing is made with butter and vanilla extract, it can have a yellow hue. This stuff makes it white. I just love it!

You can’t beat the sheen and brightness of Americolor white however, it is a nightmare to pipe with any tip smaller than #1...it will clog but there isn’t another brand on the market that can outshine the brightness.

I use this Americolor white so much. I use to lighten the color of buttercream icing and fondant and have also used to paint with on fondant and buttercream. Initially purchased small bottle and the ordered the larger bottle.

bought this because I thought I could use it to make some of the translucent colors opaque. But that did not go as planed. Thats not to say this is not quality stuff, it just did not suit my needs. I have been air brushing, and if you use this white it will leave a residue in your airbrush that must be cleaned out, it will not simply rinse out. I am sure this has a million uses, but the best may not be airbrush.
