Picture of the chaos.....not one drop on the carpet..what witchcraft is this?!

A little graphic but we’re adults here for the most part. I have a 5 year old female rescue pup that is a saint when we’re home. But when we leave she will urinate and crap in one spot of carpet in the house. We believe that she was abused and neglected by her previous owners and we’ve tried every remedy online, crate training (she pees and poops in there too), went thru 4 veterinarians with full assessments, to animal behaviorist. Nothing works.

Most of the house is wood or tile floors and she must know that she needs to pick the hardest spot to clean in the house is the GD carpet. Then she eats her poop to hide the evidence, it stresses me out but I know she’s already a ball of anxiety so we stay calm and just woo-sah it away but I digress. These pee pads...omg has saved her from me going from bat crap crazy to “oh I’ll just toss this. No big deal.” Pee pads...keeping people from going crazy, one day at a time.

Extremely disappointed. I use 2 pads at a time for a very small dog overlapping, thought I'd found a good dog pad. The 4th box I received the pads leak in the center. Completely leaks to the floor, not from run off, not on the edge, in the center. The gel is not solidifying like the other order pads did. It's a bad batch. Why can't any brand make a reliable dog pad? Will cancel auto delivery.
Received another bad batch. Next one if it is bad is going back. Tired of paying for low quality. completely leaks on the center not edges of the pad. The quality just has gone down hill.
UPDATE: Horrible quality. These SMELL TERRIBLE NO ODOR CONTROL.THEY RIP EASILY. THEY LEAK AND ARE NOT THE QUALITY THEY WERE FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. LOOKING FOR ANOTHER BRAND. WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN. CHEAP PRICE AND CHEAP QUALITY.

For chihuahua puppy: 2nd order I went with heavy duty

They work, but don't be taken in by the "five layer" description. I got these for a chihuahua puppy. They seemed just fine when she was 1.5-2 pounds, but now that she is 3 pounds, the five layers don't do an adequate job sometimes.

Sometimes the thickness is just fine, but other times it's not. And it is those "other" times that always come at the most inopportune moments..... And she's only 3 pounds......

The size is fine for a pen area--in our house known as the "Jail". But next time I bought the heavy duty.

And here is a bit of experience talking: She went through a phase of ripping them and eating the paper--the wetter, the better. The regular thickness is thin enough to shred easily with tiny, sharp nails. The heavy duty was not so easy to destroy. (Buy some bitter apple--that's how I broke this tendency before it became a habit.)

Also, I bought the 50 count box, because I wasn't sure exactly what or how many I would need. It will behoove you to take into consideration how long your puppy will be quarantined inside the house while completing the PARVO puppy shot regimen. (3-4 shots, 3-4 weeks apart.) 50 count is not enough!

I have a cat with a few medical issues and have been using "training pads" for years for both vomit and urine. Pads tend to be useless, budget friendly, or amazing. I consider these budget friendly.

They're adequate if they're picked up soon after being used and if your pet doesn't scratch at them. If your pet has the instinct to try to bury their mess or if you have to leave them for hours, there are better options available.

These are not thick enough (which means they will not absorb quick enough) to prevent liquid from running off of them if your pet "digs", and the longer they lay out the better chance they have of being reused and unabsorbed.

My cat tends to pee towards the edge of the pad and half the time pees A LOT, so majority of the time I'm picking these up I'm also wiping up and sanitizing the tile below them. I've recently decided I'd rather spend a little more for pads that keep my floor dry and will not be ordering these again.

UPDATE: I had to continue using the pads until I received another order & was pleasantly surprised to find that although 4 of the pads had urine running straight through, the ones I've used since have don as they should. But still disappointed to have ANY of them leak at all. I updated the rating but not sure I'd order again. I ordered a different brand of pads plus I ordered a replacement pan for a 42" dog crate. Hopefully that will take care of any future problems.

I'd have given these no stars if I could. I purchased these first about a month ago and they appeared to work okay. However, I just purchased a box of 40 again and they are not remotely waterproof. Everytime I check and find them wet I change them which is 3-4 times a day-and have learned to put down two. Thank goodness I have tile floors, or I'd be taking up carpet. I'm very disappointed! I'll be cancelling my subscription, no sense is paying for something that does not work.

Does not cover the smell.

I purchased these for my senior cat who now tends to poop outside litter box. I was using the regular doggy pads which did it's job (covering the floors). I purchased these for its odor-control. Although it easy to absorbed it does not cover the smell. I can still smell the poop from the next room. Only way it covers the smell is if I fold it up and throw it away.

These pads do exactly what you'd expect, and are slightly more absorbent than some of the local pet store pads. My one gripe is they don't have taped corners like some of the pet store brands which helps them stay put. Without the taped corners they do have a tendency to move around as your dog walks on them, which is obviously not a good thing. Also, the price for 25/50 pads is about the same as my local pet store brands, so these are not a less expensive option. A good all around pad that would be better if it 1) included taped corners, and 2) was slightly less expensive.

I have ordered both sizes. I prefer XL even though I have two small chihuahuas because they are less likely to miss the mat. The chihuahua that mainly used the pad is 5lbs, on an XL size.

Cons:
1) the guide photo that depicts how many uses per pad based on dog size is completely inaccurate. The pads start to leak on the bottom if they are left too long or have been used more than approx. 3 times. I change out one pad and replace it with a new one with every morning.

2) Even if you could fit that many used on the XL, realistically would you even want to? They leak (as I said), it smells and looks very gross after more than a few small drizzles. I can’t even imagine what it would smell/look like on a larger dog. Change these daily, at least!

3) bad for long term potty training. The trainer told us that teaching them to go on this material teaches them that it’s okay to go on fabric i.e. carpets/blankets. Unfortunately, the chihuahua we rescued is very small and was locked in a cage with these pads for a very long time, which has made it nearly impossible for us to ween him off of the pads. I recommend looking up the right timelines to use the pads before it becomes an issue. We HAVE to keep a pad down now in order to prevent accidents :/

4) very overpriced.

Pros:
1) can be a tool when used approximately for training young puppies

2) it’s available on prime

Not much else more to say! We are stuck using them but by no means would say these are the most ideal solution

*recommendation: check out Fresh Patch on Amazon! It’s a small patch of grass for apartment patios or even for indoor training. This is way better for training and looks a lot less trashy than a floor diaper lol This is what we ordered to get away from the pads!

I have to double layer the pads so that they’ll safely absorb my dogs’ urine. I do that with all pads. The only part that bothers me is the white border around the pad. It creates an illusion that the pad is bigger that it looks. Thus confusing my pets and convincing them to piss on the edge where there is no padding and leading me to clean up the puddle.

Not the most absorbent, I bought the carbon because I hated seeing the pee spots on regular white pads, but the carbon does little to hide them any better as the film rips right away after becoming wet. It also doesn’t really absorb odors, but overall it’s not an awful product. Since they are so inexpensive I am able to switch them out after every use, if you are looking for something that is going to last for more than maybe a couple uses and will help with odor, these probably won’t be your best choice.
