Picture of the chaos.....not one drop on the carpet..what witchcraft is this?!

A little graphic but we’re adults here for the most part. I have a 5 year old female rescue pup that is a saint when we’re home. But when we leave she will urinate and crap in one spot of carpet in the house. We believe that she was abused and neglected by her previous owners and we’ve tried every remedy online, crate training (she pees and poops in there too), went thru 4 veterinarians with full assessments, to animal behaviorist. Nothing works.

Most of the house is wood or tile floors and she must know that she needs to pick the hardest spot to clean in the house is the GD carpet. Then she eats her poop to hide the evidence, it stresses me out but I know she’s already a ball of anxiety so we stay calm and just woo-sah it away but I digress. These pee pads...omg has saved her from me going from bat crap crazy to “oh I’ll just toss this. No big deal.” Pee pads...keeping people from going crazy, one day at a time.

Extremely disappointed. I use 2 pads at a time for a very small dog overlapping, thought I'd found a good dog pad. The 4th box I received the pads leak in the center. Completely leaks to the floor, not from run off, not on the edge, in the center. The gel is not solidifying like the other order pads did. It's a bad batch. Why can't any brand make a reliable dog pad? Will cancel auto delivery.
Received another bad batch. Next one if it is bad is going back. Tired of paying for low quality. completely leaks on the center not edges of the pad. The quality just has gone down hill.
UPDATE: Horrible quality. These SMELL TERRIBLE NO ODOR CONTROL.THEY RIP EASILY. THEY LEAK AND ARE NOT THE QUALITY THEY WERE FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. LOOKING FOR ANOTHER BRAND. WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN. CHEAP PRICE AND CHEAP QUALITY.

These are good items. I got to compare it side by side with the Hartz pads. Hartz pads were the only one available in quantity of a 100 @the store. These are slightly bigger and the back plastic is thicker than Hartz brand. It holds a lot more liquid. I like how the border is wider also I'm buying again. In the photos the Amazon is the bigger one. Smaller one is the Hartz brand. The diamonds design on the white pad is the Amazon brand. I

I Don’t Like the New Fold

Update:
I just bought my second package of these (same as before: regular size & thickness, 100 count) and was disappointed to see that Amazon has changed the way they fold them, making 9 sections instead of the previous 6, which creates a messy fold along one of the lines and edges. The whole reason I switched brands was because I hated the way Hartz folded theirs. Now Amazon has messed up a good thing. It’s still better than Hartz, but I’ll probably keep my eyes open for a new brand.

I had used Hartz pads for years, but I was irritated by how wrinkled and poorly folded their pads were. I called to complain and they sent me some sweet coupons, but after I used those up I was ready to try a new brand. I have to see these pads on my floor all day long, so the least they can be is smooth and flat. Amazon Basics pads are exactly what I wanted - smooth and flat, low cost pads that my Yorkie is happy to pee on. She doesn’t seem to prefer one brand over another. Heck, she’ll pee on a nice rug if one is available, LOL, but she easily switched to the Amazon pads without a problem (she’s 6, so this isn’t her first rodeo.) We’re very happy with these. The only thing I want is for someone to make reasonably priced pink pads. But these will do since we can’t have pink. These don’t turn to gel inside like Hartz brand does, but I’m guessing that’s mostly just a gimmick anyway. It’s not like the top of the pad stays dry because of the gel feature.

Will bleed through, not absorbent, light weight need taped down

I was overly optimistic that these would work for me. I have a Maltipoo- so not large by any stretch- and when I’m gone at work (I’m a nurse so gone 12 hours-) he will use the pads one or two times (he has a walker who comes twice a day). In that time the pads have allowed the small areas to bleed through and leaves a mark to my flooring (hardwood). Luckily it wipes up easy enough- but they definitely don’t absorb much. I also Think that the size I bought may be to small for a Maltipoo- I think you need a larger size to provide room to get on and not have it shift. They are light weight, which allows them to easily be move or trampled when the dog approaches them. So, I spend time taking them with packing tape to the floor to ensure they sit in place to allow Maxwell to get onto and off the pad and not trample the pad. For the money they are an ok deal- but I usually Tape two together, and double them so there’s no seeping onto my flooring. Again, for the size dog and the amount of urine he produces I was disappointed at the absorbency. Again, doubling them is helpful, but by then, I think that there may be better options available.

When I ordered these, I was under the assumption that all puppy-pads come with sticky edges so they don't easily move around... that's my error and we learned from it. These were great and worked well, but moved around somewhat and would be improved if they had sticky tabs of edges to keep them down. This was my only issue with these pads.

I don't know about you, but I'm mostly buying these because they are not the ubiquitous and very obvious BLUE PADS.

And you know what? They're kind of awesome because of that. Your mind somehow doesn't go to the negative associations of what those blue pads mean quite so much. I can't tell if the charcoal aspect really helps keep the odors away, but boy, the design sure keeps my sense of design happy.

I purchased these for my incontinent senior dog. She’s a 87 pound lab. These are just barely big enough. I have to use two because she wants to lay her head on it and then her hinny is off the edge and that defeats the purpose.
They tend to wad up when she moves around but when she does leak on it, it does an excellent job of absorbing her urine. She even caught the very edge of the blue border once but my floor was still dry.
When she missed the edge completely and got urine on my carpet, I flipped the pad over and stepped on the wet spot and it did an excellent job of sopping up her urine from the carpet and my foot stayed dry.

Was worried puppy wouldn't use these pads after using another brand for 2 weeks (which I haven't been happy with). But to my surprise, puppy was drawn to the pad less than 10 minutes after putting it down! Thicker than the other brand, no leaking. The larger size works perfect since he's not great at aiming yet. I don't think it does much for the smell, but I clean up the pad & replace it right away, so I don't have a great opinion on that. The pad doesn't move around/slip around on the floor.

I with the edges were raised slightly, or maybe an indentation right before the blue area so the pee wouldn't be able to run if the pee is close to the side, but again, pup isn't great at aiming, so that would just a benefit.

Great price, great size, great value.

We ordered 2 cases, only to find out NOT a good product for infants as their micro nails get stuck on the fabric, not a good use for in the birthing pool and when the mom is cleaning her pups (the fabric loosens and it got stuck in her mouth and we had to untangle the baby and the mom was scratching to move her baby to clean it (super scary) glad we were right there.
This product is more of use as a drop cloth: like acrylic painting, using to paint nails on, flip it upside down to absorb a spill, under a car fluid change, lol...used for putting clean/wet dishes on, under toddlers who have accidents, car floor mat for muddy shoes so you don’t ruin original floor mat. Also great for pet cages that have the pull out trays.
PETS: When the product gets damp/wet the fabric becomes stringy and dangerous! Sticks to pet nails and we keep our trimmed and buffed FYI. We also don’t leave it once it has a tinkle or a poo on it but...we have found other great uses for these JUST NOT FOR OUR PETS!!!
