Had I not read the reviews I would have been quite disappointed by the tiny wadded up package. However, when I carefully took it apart I found it was great. I added lights and berries from my yard. Very happy with my purchase.

super awful garland

This was the saddest, ugliest garland in person - it really looked like garbage. I couldn't possibly use it. I just tossed it. If you're going for total shabby chic - you'd have to step up on this one. Yikes. The pine boughs are frayed at the end - which really adds to garbage look. I feel bad - maybe this would be perfect for someone... but not me.

I like this garland very much. It may not be as full as some people desire but I like the rustic chic look. I added delicate white lights and am super pleased with the end result. It is light and will be easy to store. Did not take me long to unpackage and just had to pull apart to get the look I liked. Lightweight so it was easy to affix to my railing (I actually laid it flat against the railing and used the white lights I purchased separately (from Pier One) to wrap around the garland and hold in place. Used velcro to affix the battery pack (of the lights I purchased separately) to the railing so no cords!

Overall very happy with this purchase. The only reason I gave 4stars for sturdiness is because several of the mini-pinecones fell off... But, they're simply attached with fine wire, so they were easy to re-attach. I particularly love that this "garland" is wired, allowing for very specific arrangement that won't falter. Its perfect! *My look was completed with tealight reindeer (also found here on Amazon), and rustic bells on a rope, found at my local HobbyLobby.

My wife searched for a wintertime seasonal garland to fit between Christmas and Springtime themes. Smokey Pine fit the bill. It's thin, so we thought it would be a bit stark if made as a solo run. So, we bought enough to double the run over our 6-ft trapezoid mantle. Could even triple it, but perhaps diminishing returns would set in. So, we held at double. And we wove soft white mini lights to create nighttime moods. One nice attribute of this garland is its pliability to put each part in one's desired position.

This garland is really realistic looking and the quality is great, especially for the price! The pine needles are firmly attached, so they won’t fall off when you manipulate the branches.
