So I don’t have a dog or a cat. What I do have is a 2yr old in potty training and a fabric couch... need I say more? It goes like this... My son fell asleep on the couch in underwear and me, wanting to take advantage of this golden hour or 2 that only happens during very specific planetary alignments, did not dare attempt to diaper him. Well he woke up fussing and whining as he normally does. I went to the couch to pick him up and ask if he needed to potty... let’s just say I was suddenly soaked and it was then that to my horror(!), I noticed the entire couch cushion was also soaked!!! Fast forward to me blotting it up wondering how much could this child have let out?! It seemed like an entire gallon at least!! Off to find the pet spra.... I’m out of pet spray?! Frantically scour google for home rememdy, dump entire box of baking powder on couch cushion and prime some pet spray(did I mention we were in Covid lockdown?). Later that night I vacuumed up the powder and sniffed the couch. Word of advice, DON’T BOTHER! It smelled like my great aunt Milda’s bathroom where she kept the cat litter. Next day I stalked the window for my precious Prime truck! Let me tell you I practically flung open the door before his hand reached out to knock! I grabbed the goods, ripped open the box, and GENEROUSLY sprayed the entire cushion. Note to self: didn’t need to go overboard. Well I’m happy to report the smell is GONE! And 2 months later it still smells like the spray when I sit there. If you’ve read this far... hope you enjoyed the laugh! I am eternally grateful for this product and prime next day arrival!!

1.0 out of 5 starsIt smells worse after! Strong, perfume, sour, musty smell.
Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2018
I've used Nature's Miracle for decades. Recently my cat started urinating on a new rug after she was injured and I bought this new "improved" formula. After spraying I dabbed it up and thought it was great. Then an hour or so later I noticed the smell was even worse, almost a perfume, musty, sour smell. I got the steam cleaner back out and went over the spot multiple times and let it dry; it still smelled. So I dumped buckets of water on it and sucked it up. Still smelled. Two weeks later and I just sent the rug off for cleaning because it still smelled so bad it made me sick. I then made the mistake of assuming it was something to do with the rug and the fibers. The poor cat had crawled under the bed and wet herself, so I sprayed it with nature's miracle, rubbed it in thoroughly and let it sit. After roughly 30 minutes I again got the steam cleaner and started by just sucking up the extra nature's miracle. Then I went over it multiple times with just water. I spent nearly an hour cleaning one small spot on brand new carpet in a brand new home only to have it still smell so bad that we are having trouble sleeping in the room! I don't know what to do at this point, I've gone over it with water and have kept a fan on it hoping it will dissipate but have had no luck. Beware if you are unable to wash the item in a washer I would not use this product unless you want to have a perfume, sour, musty smell that permeates the air and won't go away.

It has such a strong scent that it’s almost nauseating. The smell won’t even wash off my hands. I have a feeling it does nothing but cover the smell up because it smells so strong...like perfume. I definitely do not think it’s worth the $13 I paid and will definitely not be buying it again.

My dad just bought a camper and could not get the old dog smell out. He removed the bed that built in and under it looked like a dog had been using the area for a bathroom. There was dog poop everywhere. I sprayed this stuff on it and let it sit for 10 minutes. Afterwards I went back with an old handheld dish scrubber, sprayed again and scrubbed it. The stuff came off like a breeze. The whole carpet had old poop stains on it and it took them all out!! It took me 45 minutes, including sit time, to clean the entire camper carpet. The camper smells like new.

1.0 out of 5 stars Smells like terrible perfume, doesn’t work like the original product.

If I hadn’t opened and used some of this I would return immediately. This is one of the worst products for pet urine. For starters, doesn’t seem to actually work like the original enzymatic product from this company, which bubbles on contact with the urine to eliminate the smell and remove the urine from fabric and carpet. This doesn’t bubble up, just soaks into it with one of the worst smelling products I’ve ever used. Seems that all they did is add an extremely strong perfume to the formula and remove the enzymatic properties of it. The perfume smell fills the entire room and anything in contact with a musty old man drug store cologne that triggers my my migraines. I then have to remove the rug completely from the space and put outside to dry so I that I can hopefully wash the smell out later! The smell of the cleaner is worst than the urine to begin with, which will not actually be eliminated! This is completely disappointing since I’ve been happy with the “original” formula from this company, that I’ve used for the last few years with an occasionally incontinent senior dog and now for the puppy that is still struggling with house training. Will most likely toss this whole bottle and try a different brand as a result. Really frustrating!

1.0 out of 5 stars LEAVES OBNOXIOUS ODOR THROUGHOUT HOME. WOULD NOT BUY- FAKE-KNOCKOFF
Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2020
Style: Spray - 32 Fluid OunceVerified Purchase
This product stinks worse than the urine did after I cleaned it. In fact I don’t believe the carpet smelled as bad as the product with the dog urine still there. The stench from the product invaded every room of our home. Leaving us the only option of shutting off the air conditioning to open the all the doors and windows, with outside temperature was 85 degrees with the humidity of 79%. Then cleaning that area again and area around it (overspray) with Bissell spot bot (I highly recommend those ours is at least 13 yrs old). After leaving the house open for 4 hours there is still a slight unpleasant/obnoxious odor. This product “Nature’s Miracle Advanced stain and Odor eliminator” IS NOT the same item We purchased in PetSmart, it must be a knockoff, a fake. After using I opened the bottle to smell the product (We wish we did beforehand) the smell was an obnoxious cross between a concentrated cat and dog urine. Thankfully we are still on lockdown, we would be extremely embarrassed for someone to come in our home even now after the second cleaning and airing out. We seriously advise others not to purchase this product, we won’t be doing so again from Amazon.. This has left us hoping and praying that those wallflower lavender/Vanilla for odors we placed throughout the house works and does so soon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Offputting Odor
Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2021
Style: Spray - 32 Fluid OunceVerified Purchase
I purchased this product two times. It does work to eliminate the odor of dog urine. However, I just threw the second bottle away which was nearly full. Previously I used it mainly to clean up messes on the floor. The scent was a little off putting but tolerable. But this time my dog used a recliner to relieve himself. I sprayed the recliner and followed up with my carpet/upholstery cleaner machine since the urine had soaked into the fabric. Unfortunately, the scent of Nature's Miracle is actually worse than the smell of the urine and I find it to be nauseating. I re-shampooed the recliner and the smell of Nature's Miracle is just as strong as it was before. I dusted the chair with baking soda hoping it would absorb some of the smell to no avail. I have come to the conclusion that I will have to replace the chair which is rather disappointing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works* - for SMALL areas - NOT FOR LARGE AREAS!

*I don't know if this actually eliminates dog odor or just overpowers it.

We had guests for several weeks with an incredibly stinky dog. When they moved out, after sprinkling, waiting & vacuuming both baking powder and dry coffee grounds, I shampooed the carpet 4 times. STILL the bedroom stank terrible.

Mid-day I sprayed the entire floor with this Nature's Miracle, using 28 oz, and CLOSED the door.
You could no longer smell the dog but this Nature's Miracle has it's own TERRIBLE ODOR.
By evening our noses were starting to run. In the middle of the night my husband was really miserable - post nasal drip, scratchy throat and feeling like he wasn't getting enough oxygen. At 7am I began shampooing the carpets again, with rinse water only, trying to pull this chemical out of the carpet. He had to leave the house. After (bissell) rinse-shampooing TWICE the smell was better but not acceptable.
So I left an ozone air purifier running for several hours, in the room with the door open.
The smell of this chemical is almost gone along with the dog stink.

(Side note - coffee grounds are a bad odor absorbing idea, after 12 vacuums & 6 shampoos, I'm still sucking grounds out of the carpet. We own both Shark and Dyson vacuums, so it's not a junky vacuum.)

Update: Dog stench came back after several days. (We now have a new hardwood floor.)

1.0 out of 5 stars Unbearably horrible scent. I need to find something to get rid of this smell.
Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2020

I heard they made changes to the the formula and I can say that this smell really really bad, the scent is so disgusting that it is all I can smell in the room. I need to find a real odor remover to remove this odor remover. I swear if I could go back to the dog pee I would, and it is only covered I believe, I mean the scent of this product is so strong that it would overpower the smell of a sewer, and there is still a subtle presence of the smell of the urine. And it gives headache, I just got one from it. I think I will have to throw away the couch.
Now you watch some bot would reply to this the same way that every negative review is answered, without offering a solution. Please if anybody alive from the company is reading this give me a solution on how to neutralize this scent or pay to replace my couch. Thank you.

i had been recommended this product by many people but i am sad to say i have wasted my money. the scent on this product caused my partner to have asthma attacks. it is very strong and smells like cheap perfume. the smell has lingered for days after using the product.

i'm also not having any luck getting my animals to stop re-urinating in the same location as where i have cleaned the mess. they have immediately within hours, urinated in the same spot i attempted to clean up.

this product was very expensive and did not work for our house at all.
