How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsSo happy with this little mouse
Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2018
So happy with this little mouse. I have had 5 wireless mice in the past two years. This one fits well in my large hand (I’m 6’2” 200lbs so my hands are like baseball mitts - I have to squeeze them into “large” sized gloves) has no noticeable delay (my others all do) and rarely loses connection - a problem. Instantly remedied by removing and re-inserting the included mini usb dongle it comes with (and which stores neatly inside the mouse). Buying another one for my other laptop.

1.0 out of 5 starsI really wanted to keep this mouse, but it's bad. Also the company harassess negative reviews.
Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2020
I love how comfortable this mouse is, and when it works, its pretty good, but all to often it goes crazy and acts as if I'm holding down buttons when I've only clicked once. For gaming this is awful as it creates havoc. There's something really fritzed out with the signal from the mouse to the USB reciever - I even tried lots of different USB ports.
My mouse is literally about 2 feet from the USB receiver. There should be no signal issues.
Also, it goes to sleep and does not wake up unless you click a mouse button, which often activates something on screen. Thats poor design.

It's one of the most comfortable mouses I've used though, and I'm really disappointed I couldn't keep using it, but I'm returning it.

UPDATE 5/28/2020
I returned this mouse as indicated, above. Weeks later I received a desperate email from the company in response to my poor review asking me to accept a replacement and clearly they are not happy that I wrote a truthful review.
I feel that manufacturers who email after I have reviewed and returned a product are abusing my contact info and clearly want me to change my review.

UPDATE 7/15/2020
I am still receiving harassment for this review. "Judy" emailed me today desperately trying to get me to remove the review saying they will do anything. Then she laid on the thick guilt trip that she was new to the company and is on probation, and her performance depends on "eliminating negative feedback" and really needs my help to fix this. This is not ok. I will continue to update this negative review until this stops.

UPDATE 7/21/2020
I have received another email from Judy even though I told her to stop contacting me.

"Hi Troy Y.,

we still hoping that i can do something for this trasaction.we would appreciated if you could give us a chance to address your concerns and resolve your negative feedback.refund or replacement ,we also can send you new product for test.

Please forgive me taking the liberty of interrupting you. actually ,I am new in this company and still in the three-month probation.Improve customer‘s satisfaction and decrease the critical reviews is the assessment of my work. It will affects my performance, so it’s very important to me. would you mind spare me a few minutes as I really need your help.

Really sorry to bother you. pls accept my sincerely apologize.

3.0 out of 5 stars Uncomfortable to use for long periods of time
Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2021
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
This 4.65" full size mouse doesn't feel half bad in my normal size man hand, but it's also not the most comfortable out of the 8 different brands/models I've tried. I wouldn't recommend it for daily use as a work mouse because of design flaws that I will mention below.

Pros:

- soft silent clicks as advertised (has a satisfying feel to it that's not mushy, but not too stiff either)

- sturdy scroll wheel with an easy-to-click middle button

- has both a sleep mode and an on/off switch

Cons:

- the right side of the mouse is made of a hard flat plastic siding that's not very pinky finger friendly and this is my biggest gripe with this model. It makes this mouse uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time.

- the left side of the mouse is a better because it has a flared out part that your thumb rests on, but this also props the thumb up a bit too high to where it rests directly on the two side buttons making it much easier to accidentally click one of those buttons if you ever need to grip the mouse.

- the matte finish on top feels nice to touch, but it's a fingerprint magnet that needs constant cleaning

- In order to wake the mouse up out of sleep mode, you need to click one of the buttons. This is a con because because you can accidentally click on something you didn't mean to if you're not careful of your cursor placement before it goes to sleep (e.g closing a window). In comparison, other mouses also let you scroll the wheel to wake it up.

3.0 out of 5 stars My first mouse with rechargable battery
Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2022
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
Internal mouse battery died after 6 weeks. I looked to replaced the battery and realized it was build in. I went to the box and discovered there was no charging cord. I had not looked because I had never bought a mouse with a charging cord. So the cord was not included with the original mouse. I tried other cords I had, including the small Apple TV, but it didn't fit. Beware, when you buy a mouse with a built in battery. Look for a cord the day it's delivered and not wait until the mouse dies to be sure it is there. Also no mention on how to remove the battery and no place on the mouse body to get to it. It might be solder on the mouse board, as I have seen with outdoor solar lights. So when the mouse battery dies in the future you will have to throw away the mouse. Wish Amazon would have mentioned it. Maybe they didn't know since the last item reads in the instructions, "Please keep the receiver well." The outside of the box reads, "High Quality." At 80 years old, it prove you still can learn something new every day.

3.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality Control?... Dead on Arrival; BUT Has a Couple Issues Beyond That
Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2020
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
Didn't work! Plugged it in to charge... The scroll wheel lights up blue for a few seconds and shuts off. I've charged this about 36 hours (using 2 different cords, including the one it came with it). Turned it on when it is was plugged/unplugged and it does nothing (with the above exception of when the scroll wheel lights up for a few seconds if it is plugged in). Plugged in the USB receiver, which is recognized by Windows, but the mouse still does nothing!

BUT even if I received a working mouse, I still have a couple issues... I wanted to like this mouse as it feels great in my hand, BUT 1) it only comes with a 10" cord. (I purchased this as a backup to a fantastic wired/wireless SIIG mouse with a 1200mA battery that lasts for months on a single charge, but it is no longer available.). The problem with a 10" cord is you can't use this mouse while it is charging (of course, unless you already have another cord); 2) the mouse I received did not slide smoothly! I've tried it on a high quality thin plastic smooth 3M mouse pad and on a high quality Corsair mouse pad made from some very smooth silk-like cloth material and it sounds and feels like it is scratching the surface of both. (I'm pretty sure the Corsair mat would be ruined in no time.) Not 100% sure what is causing it, but I suspect it is likely the on/off switch that is a tiny bit too high from the base (and yes I removed the receiver from the mouse). I didn't try scraping a little of the plastic off of the on/off switch, which MAY possibly fix that issue AND if you obviously have a longer cord (I think it is a USB Type A to Micro USB), than it would likely be possible to charge while using it, BUT as mine doesn't work (and I plan on returning it), I can't swear to either of those.

Edit - Unsolicited change of rating from 1 to 3 stars based on the 45-day unconditional refund policy and a 12 months repairing warranty. While my mouse didn't work (and I wasn't able to try the fixes mentioned above), it's obviously working OK to great for others and is a great value at ~$14.50.

Someone with an opinion
3.0 out of 5 stars I'm surprised how much I like this mouse
Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2021
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
For such an inexpensive mouse, my expectations weren't too high. But I'm really finding it a pleasure to use.

The first thing I noticed was the button clicks. The right- and left buttons are the quietest I've ever worked with, but still have satisfying tactile feedback. I actually enjoy the sensation of clicking the buttons! Perhaps the novelty will wear off after a while, but I might as well enjoy it while it lasts.

The side buttons and the middle button, on the other hand, have much louder clicks than I'm used to. I wish they could have made them all equally quiet. But at least the buttons I use most are good. For what it's worth, the scroll wheel is quiet and smooth, as long as you aren't clicking it as a middle button.

Another thing I really like is that the thumb grip area is molded plastic. This is a nice change from my previous wireless mouse (an Anker) that had a ribbed rubber piece that would collect gunk and eventually started to fall off.

So why am I docking a star? Apart from the overly loud side and middle button clicks, I really wish that it had a low battery indicator. Also, the recharging cable is absurdly short. Fortunately, you can use any micro USB cable instead.

I know that others have complained that the battery life degrades over time. I haven't yet experienced this, but if it happens to me badly enough, I'll be back to dock more stars.

---- UPDATE ----

The battery life is still working great for me, but I'm docking it a star, thanks to an issue I found with continued use. The problem is the position of the side buttons in respect to the thumb rest area. It puts my thumb right up against the "back" button, so that I find myself accidentally clicking that button fairly often. For somebody who does a lot of work in browser-based applications, this is a serious problem and can lead to lost work. It's too bad, because other than this, I really like the feel of the mouse.

Cherise
3.0 out of 5 stars Fair value for price

It clicks fairly loud. That doesn't bother me, but would my husband.

It slips a lot, hard to hold onto. In my photo you can see I had to add some rubbery type tape strips so it wouldn't keep slipping out of our hands.

It doesn't have an off switch. It does go into standby and requires you to click to reactivate, but I carry around with my laptop and wonder if it turns on when I jostle it. Only got a couple weeks ago, so no idea of battery life. It only has one battery so guessing its low to start.

Not a bad purchase (around $9-10 sale price) I like it and will keep using it - especially now that I have the cat tongue grip tape on it. However, if you have any concerns, probably best to pay they extra $5-10 and upgrade.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not recommend
Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2022

Didn't bought it because of rechargeable battery (I prefer standard aa/aaa, because they last much longer and you can change them when you need immediately), but because it was described as full size (for my big hand).

Pros:
-Main (Right and left) buttons are silent and feel good

Cons:
-Side buttons are on wrong place if you have big thumb
-Big, but not very comfortable for big palm
-Needs good surface. On white paper (where another mouse works great) this one doesn't
-After a week of normal use from time to time started to loose connection pretty bad, pointer doesn't follow mouse movements

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice For The Price, But The Back Button Is The Bane Of My Existence
Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2020
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
As all things should be I'll give you the sweet before I give you the sour. This is a tight little mouse for the price. Super quiet left and right buttons. Sleep mode to help extend battery life as well as a battery that should last weeks without a recharge. So with all these feature why am I looking to replace this mouse after only a few weeks? The back button on the side of the mouse that's why. The amount of times I've accidentally hit this hair trigger simply by moving the mouse pointer around the screen is ridiculous. The real estate on the side of the mouse is way too shallow which puts your thumb danger close to the back button. I don't have large hands so I can't use the excuse of "fat fingering". Even while writing this I can literally feel the back button right under the edge of my thumb just threatening to undo all my writing and take me back before I started this review. Secondly the mouse feels um....light. My previous mouse the Logitech G602 felt more solid and weighty even without the batteries. For some that's a plus so far all you business class execs this is the mouse for you. So in the end, for the price it's a nice back up mouse but you'll want to replace it at your earliest convenience.

3.0 out of 5 stars I like some things, dislike others. My Thumb is too big I guess
Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2022

So I want to start and say the feel and click of this mouse is really nice. Quiet, quick, and has a good top feel. Wireless, easy to setup, cost is great.

Now the thing I had to take a star off for was fit. Maybe my thumb is just too big, but it hits the 2 side buttons all the time when moving the mouse. I don't want to have to avoid those buttons. My last mouse had those same buttons but they were thinner and more avoidable. This one clicks almost every time I move the mouse. Really hard to like the mouse with that issue.

3.0 out of 5 stars On/Off button drags on mousepad.
Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2021
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
So it's $12, and it works.. I'll admit that was enough for me and i didn't really read through the reviews. So anyway to get to the first day complaint.. The on-off switch sits lower than the rest of the foot of the mouse, so it drags and sounds like an old school uni-ball mouse. Dumb.

Otherwise, it seems to work, don't really know how useful the CPI or front/back buttons are. I assumed that the side buttons are programmable, but as far as I can tell they are not. Also no feedback when you hit the cpi button, but I can't say this is a thing I find myself wanting to adjust enough to have a separate button.

I would love to give this product 5 stars because it feels great however the placement and sensitivity of the arrows on the thumb side is not great. I kept hitting the back arrow with each movemnt to the left. I was trying to use this mouse for work however I could not because the arrows are extra sensitive and impossible not to hit when moving the mouse. It would take me out of the window I was working in and reset everything I had done. I cannot recommend due to the placement of the arrows also attempted to email support for the product and never received a response.
