2 YEAR OWNER REVIEW, EXCELLENT TABLE

The one we purchased was a natural wood finish and I was very pleased that it was not crummy particle board looking like wood. It is made of real solid wood boards and pieces. It was super easy to put together and it is very strong and sturdy. I am nearly 200 lb man and I can sit in these chairs and there's no warping or sagging at all the table is also incredibly strong I have even sat on the table and it has never warped or sagged and we've had this for about 2 years now. For something I didn't expect to last I have been extremely impressed by this table and chair set from Amazon basics. I don't know if they are still offering the natural finish I find the white to be very impractical because it's going to show chips and dings very easily I would think. I really hate the modern colorless aesthetic that to me is just very boring and soulless, there's so much emphasis on white and gray these days in modern home decor and it's just gross.

Mislabeled pieces, missing screws, poor design.

Some of the pieces were mislabeled, there were missing screws, and pegs weren’t deep enough so in order for some pieces to fit together we have to carve. It took forever to assemble this table because of those issues. Once we got it together we noticed there was damage to the top. Great. When I contacted Amazon they wanted me to disassemble and send back. Serious?! We had already tossed the box. Amazon customer service is usually pretty amazing and I have been really liking their AmazonBasic line, unfortunately this item is a fail. Wanted to love it but it was and is a mess of an item and design.

I would not use a drill. All can be done with a screwdriver and the provided Allen wrench.

We bought this for our 2 year old and she has loved it from the moment I started to assemble it. It came well packaged. All the parts were present and accounted for. I put it together in about 1 1/2 hours (with my toddler at my side, which slowed things down for sure). I used an electric screwdriver so if you’ve got it, use it.

Our little one is 36.5” and she sits comfortably in the chair with her feet not quite flat on the floor. I’m 114lbs and I’ve sat in the chair a number of times and I feel that it is very sturdy.

There is a nice coating on the wood to protect it. There’s no chemical smell at all. So far water and milk spills clean up easily and colored pencil, washable markers and lead pencil markings have wiped off without a problem. I opted for this brand over the more expensive choices mostly thinking if it gets destroyed I won’t be as bothered but this set seems like it can take a beating and holdup just fine. I’m very happy with the quality. Highly recommended.

Always wanted one of these for my kids for crafts and art and now with distance learning the kids needed a dedicated learning space. Works great for everything we have done on it from coloring to painting to playdough, easy to clean every time. Like most wooden furniture, the wood stock has become softer over the years as trees are grown faster and as a result are less dense. This is still stronger than most newer wooden furniture. Assembly was easy and the hardware is heavy duty.

My granddaughter insisted on helping me assemble this set. When you first open the box there are an intimidating number of pieces, but all hardware and wood pieces are marked alphanumerically, so if you closely follow the included instructions assembly goes rather quickly (took us about an hour). She absolutely loves having a "me size" table and chairs, and spent the rest of the day sitting at it coloring and looking at her books. All pieces have a nice glossy finish on the wood, so I expect future cleanups will be easy. I would recommend this set if you have wee ones in your house or that come to visit!

I don't normally write product reviews, but because of how impressed I was I thought it was worth noting.

One of the things I was impressed by the most was the packaging. I absolutely despise opening the box of a build-it-yourself piece of furniture just to have to spend more time hunting those pesky styrofoam bits that break off than actually assembling the furniture. But to my surprise and great pleasure, this product had done something I've never seen before, they plastic wrapped and sealed each individual styrofoam piece!! After pulling out everything from the box, there wasn't a single piece of dust, dirt, or styrofoam that I had to clean up.

The product itself meets my expectations.
It seems to be good quality, very good wood finish. The chairs have a sticker stating they are rated for 150 pounds, but my fat butt at 250 pounds can still sit down and color with my daughter and the chair still seems strong and sturdy.

The instructions are easy to ready and very simple and easy to follow. The hardware is very well organized and labelled as well.

If I had to do it all over again I would 100% purchase this product again.

Amazing Setup

My granddaughter loves is. She's almost 2 so she tends to stand on the chairs and sit on the table. Everything is very sturdy. My 26 year old daughter sits in the chairs and she weighs under 120lbs. (Just to give you an idea of sturdiness).

The rectangular shape is perfect for her to be able to reach across but not so long that it takes up too much space. I'm happier with this setup than I was with a square table. This gives us the ability to spread things out a bit. She plays, eats her meals, and watches a movie sitting at her own big girl table. As she gets older the beautiful wood can be stained or even partially/fully painted to match her room.

Great desk for online classes

I ordered this table and chairs for my daughter to use for her online classes. Delivered on time. Very sturdy and confortable for her to use. The height of the table is just right for her. For reference: my daughter is 6 years old, about 45 lbs, 3 ft 8in.
The only problem for me is very difficult to assemble. Some holes are not right. But overall this is a good buy, worth it.

Solid set for a good price

This is a good set for the price. It wasn't very hard to assemble, took maybe 40 minutes total to assemble everything.

Overall quality is good. Getting solid wood at this price is not very common but it is a relatively soft wood. If you over tighten you'll actually compress into the wood. The surfaces themselves though seem pretty solid and haven't scratched too much so far. I plan to just paint it once the kids scratch it a lot more, giving it a second life.

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas. She was 18 months old. Perfect little table for her now and as she grows older.

The table is made of soft wood. If you’ve ever purchased unfinished wood items from IKEA, it’s like that. The wood gets scratched and dings pretty easily, but I don’t mind. I knew that would happen with a toddlersaurus. 😅
