Perfect Art/Play Table for 5 Year Old!

Built this table for my 5 year old and decided to spray paint her favorite color on it. The table came semi- assembled with fairly clear instructions. If you decide to paint like I did, I recommend using a clear protective coat for easy cleaning. Otherwise the original paint works just fine!

Warning: you will need a screwdriver and some muscle if you're doing it by hand. You have to screw 16 screws without pilot holes. I used my battery operated screwdriver and had no problems.

I've purchase this table to my 18 month old less than 2 months ago. He has a a training snacking table in the kitchen, so it is used very lightly, mostly with dry snacks even, we leave the messy meals for his high chair still. I noticed a small crack on the pain pretty early on and now it has grown and it really looks terrible. I am also concerned with the safety of it, since it the painting is chipping off. I would love to be able to return this item, because it was not necessarily cheap, and rather feels that way. Poor quality.

I bought this for my 18 month old son. He uses it for eating and coloring. It wipes clean easily. Crayon needs a bit of scrubbing. The chairs are taller than I expected, so he has trouble getting into the chairs by himself. He will quickly grow into it and we will be able to use it for many years.

Overall the table and chairs are stable and my son loves having his very own table.

Very sturdy and nice looking. Took over an hour to assemble and almost took away a star because the instructions are not great. And very well packaged, all the styrofoam packing pieces were wrapped in plastic which prevents little pieces of styrofoam from getting all over. Probably the best packaging job I've seen, and we buy a lot online!

This table is excellent. My daughter who is 2 absolutely loves it. I wanted a place for her to do arts and crafts and it's perfect. She also loves to eat and snack at her table. It's been very easy to clean. It's also sturdy enough for my husband and I to sit in the chairs and color with her. The chairs were a little tough to put together but not too bad. It is also lightweight so I can move it around with ease if my daughter wants it in the living room or her play area. It is sturdy but do keep in mind paint does stain it easily so if you're doing arts and crafts just clean up fast.

I was able to assemble the table and one of the chairs by myself during my 21-month-old grandson's naptime....when he woke up and saw them, he said "What's THAT?!" He was so excited to have his own furniture and wanted me to hurry up and finish the other chair so I could sit too. The table is sturdy and the chairs are stable enough for climbing and light enough for him to carry - a must for an almost 2-year-old! Easy to clean so far, and there is a nice finish on all the outer surfaces (I have the white painted set). I bought this because of the solid wood construction and ratings - better than many sets that were more expensive. Grandma and grandson both agree, we are very happy with our purchase and recommend it highly!

Love this table and chair set! Took a half hour to put together, didnt seem too bad. My toddler LOVES it and will be able to use it for a few years atleast very sturdy, it holds my weight which is slightly over the recommended weight limit. I was stuck between this and the melissa and Doug one. Happy I went with this one as it is excellent quality and was much cheaper!
