I don't understand some of the negative comments. I have had several claims with Asurion and have never had an issue. My claims have always been after the manufacturer warranty had expired but they quickly sent me a label to return the item to them and as soon as they had my return I was almost immediately given a Amazon gift card applied to my account. I think they are an amazing company to do business with.

Doesn't cover basic water damage

I added an Asurion warranty for a $64 pair of Plantronics headphones that were advertised as waterproof to a depth of 1M. Turns out they were not in the least bit waterproof. After submerging barely a foot, the left earpiece fails and the bluetooth stream cut off. Asurion does not cover the return. It's a scam.

Asurion had been great, but letting us down now

I bought a wall mounted CD player (most expensive item I'd used Asurion for, Asurion has been great about small CD players the kids dropped - Asurion sent me an Amazon credit as soon as I sent in the broken CD players). The email for the vendor of the wall mounted CD player is invalid - the seller seems to have vanished. We can't reach the manufacturer, either. So we want Asurion to cover the cost of replacing the wall mounted CD player, or help us track down the Amazon vendor because the disc spinner of the CD player no longer works, even though the radio and aux-in features still work. But Asurion won't help us with tech support to repair, Asurion won't help us track down the vanished vendor and Asurion won't help us get Amazon to get the vendor/manufacturer to honor the warranty, nor will Asurion replace the broken CD player because the warranty would still be in effect if the vendor/manufacturer hadn’t vanished..

Used for a Defective product return. So much more complicated than needed. Email and accounts that needed verifying but still required me to call anyway. I Have to wait for a refund check and they are mailing a return label. I’m not impressed with the entire process that i spent $6 buck more on for a $60 product(still under warranty)

This group is unconscionable. This is the second claim I have processed through them and it was identical to my first. Their business model is frustrate the client so they will go away and not have to pay them. In both cases they stated they sent me a label to return the product I never received them. They finally again in both cases agreed to email one to me. If they where interested in cust serv why not just email them and avoid us mail which actually provides better service than Asurion. In both cases after assigning me a SR# and receiving my product back the started asking aging for proof of payment etc. why would you provide a SR# and return label if there was a question if I had a valid warranty. would they have shipped back my defective product if they determined post return my warranty was no valid?

I strongly recommend them especially for your electronics it's so cheap to have a 2 or more year full coverage warranty!

This company stands by their warranty. After you notify them and they may go over very easy troubleshooting methods, they email you a UPS shipping label. Once they receive the label they refund you the purchase price of your product.
I use this warranty on all of my electronic products bought on Amazon.
