To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Bought a few years ago with 4K tv. Had an issue with the television picture. Shortly after in person inspection Asurion issued gift card in amount of original purchase. Process took only a couple weeks. Prompt, professional service and communication. A++++
It took a few days, which isn't a surprise since it was a weekend, but they were supposed to call to schedule a repairman to come out and look at the net broken TV. Instead I got an automated call saying they couldn't fix my TV and they would refund me instead. That's all well and good, but I wish they had at least tried to fix the tv. Plus they refunded by giving an Amazon gift card. I thought they would directly refund me. So I was forced to pick a replacement through Amazon. Of course, the situation did seem to work out, it's just that some minor details rubbed me the wrong way; that's why I docked 1 star.
We have had claims in the past with Asurion, and they were painless and quick. My only objection is that the coverage should start as of product delivery rather than the order date, because some products take a long time to ship.
