Consider Extended Warranty, Especially For A Renewed Product
Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2021
I loved this trackball. It was everything they said it was as far as comfort and amenities. A good amount of configurable buttons. Not a ton of them, but enough to be extremely handy for the vast majority of people I think, other than maybe hard core gamers. Especially if you're doing some serious FPS or MMORPG, it may not be suitable for you, but I do a fair amount of gaming and it worked out well for me the vast majority of the time. And speaking of gaming, it does have a very nice "precise movement" type button that's great for sniping and that sort of situation in games, with the caveat that there's no configuration for it...it's either on or off. It's also a very handy adjustment for photo editing and that sort of precision movement. But, and it's a BIG but, I got the RENEWED version of the product, and neglected to get an extended warranty. The RENEWED warranty was for 90 days and (wait for it.....) the laser light for the trackball went bye bye at the 5 month mark. Never had a single problem with it up until then, but the laser light went out and never came back on, so obviously there's no cursor movement. Everything else still works just fine, but it's pretty worthless without a cursor, so that's the reason, and the only reason, for the low overall rating!
Before I forget, one of the big reasons I got it was for the ergonomic tilt of the trackball, because I'm on the computer constantly and I'd been starting to experience some fairly severe shoulder issues. The shoulder problems pretty much completely went away after about 3-4 weeks, if that, of using the Ergo....REALLY nice! I loved it enough that I've purchased a replacement, and as you may have noticed, they aren't cheap. This time I bought the NEW version with an extended warranty.....live and learn.
