I should have seen it coming when my daughter as a child dropped her Nintendo Game Boy into the toilet. Since then, my dear, dear daughter has become the Grim Reaper of electronics. If the electronics had human qualities, I believe they would have anguished looks upon them as my daughter completed the purchase of the electronics at the store. Most dramatic is when she dropped her cell phone into a cow manure sluice pit while doing her undergraduate work in pursuit of a veterinary degree. We deemed that one a total loss. Since then she has slammed phones in her car door, had a foul ball hit her phone screen at a softball game and consistently shows up with cracked screens, frayed wires and unexplained, but not unexpected glitches. When she asked for another electronic device for a Christmas present (not to be divulged here dear reader, but it is not a cell phone), she requested the Asurion 3 Year Portable Electronic Accident Protection Plan with Tech Support which was quite prescient of her. I, of course made the purchase and it may be the most practical gift I buy this year. Of course, insurance is the thing you buy that you hope you don't have to use, but it is great to have the comfort of knowing it is there. I may return in six months to tell you how well Asurion handled the claim for her Christmas present, but I hope I don't have to.

I bought the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ and as a plumber I got the protection plan, just in case I dropped them in some water (or worse). Sure enough, they got washed accidentally, but NO FEAR! I started my Asurion claim and they first started by telling me to go back to the manufacturer because it would be under their warranty. Samsung told me, accidents like washing them, isn't a manufacturing defect, take it back to Asurion. So, I went back to them and filed the claim on July 16, 2020. They told me to send my damaged product in and gave me a label. I mailed my earbuds in and had to go through their convoluted website to figure out how to pick my earbuds for what needed replaced. So, I finally got that done and I got an email on July 27, thanking me for my selection. That was 50 days ago. I check the website and all it says is the product is on it's way. It's said that for nearly two months. I understand the COVID thing has created some issues, but this is insane. I've tried reaching out on the website, by phone, email, and Facebook, but with no real response. I feel like this is a scam. Not only do they have my old, broken earbuds, but my money! I can safely say I don't think I will be using them ever again. I hope people read the reviews of people who ACTUALLY filed claims, not just the people buying the plans. What a shame. I'd be better off just buying the earbuds over again.

I have used this company and their electronic product warranties multiple times, they are outstanding! I bought my first one as coverage on my first Fitbit, the Asurion coverage starts AFTER the products normal coverage ends. What this means is that my Fitbit broke at 2 1/2 years old. I emailed Asurion and they emailed me a shipping return label within moments. As soon as that label was scanned by the shipper, my phone dinged showing me a message from Asurion. They had already credited my Amazon account for the full amount I paid for the Fitbit.
I have had them consistently refund any broken product no questions asked. They are impeccable. I can't recommend them enough. I work hard, I'm hard on my body and my equipment. I will always buy Asurion extended warranty plans for all my electronics, they are worth it.

I purchased a warranty from Asurion and my headphones broke and I filed a claim, my money was credited to Amazon for another pair of the same product. I inquired to see if I needed to purchase another warranty, but was told by customer service that as long as I was purchasing the identical set of headphones that I would not need a new warranty. My new headphones broke not even 3 months after purchase, I again inquired about the warranty and was told that it only covers a one-time replacement which was opposite of what I had been told before. So, beware of their promises and in-between the lines warranty coverage. It seems they prefer loop holes and rely on confusion as to what is covered.

I have used Asurion for over a decade on a variety of different electronics...they are great !! I've had to repair/replace almost everything at least once, and the service is always outstanding!! I'm an emergency water/sewer guy, and work underground and around dangerous wet conditions. Also I have had my children's tablets and Headphones repaired/ replaced. I just thought I should let you know so I dont sound like a fake reviewer. Asurion does exactly what they say they will , I have recieved my phone the day after I made a claim so i know that they are efficient.

Last Friday my Fitbit 2 started glitching and didn't work correctly. I got on my computer around 4:30p and filed out an insurance claim on it. I received a message that I needed to take my Fitbit to a UPS and once Asurion received it they would send me a gift card for a replacement. I took my packed up Fitbit to UPS and received a message from Asurion that they received confirmation of my Fitbit being turned in and sent me a gift card. I used the amount Asurion sent me and upgraded to a cooler Fitbit. I ordered a new Fitbit around 6:00pm. The NEXT DAY around 7:30am my new Fitbit arrived. PEOPLE!!!! That was the fastest transaction I have ever done! That is a 15 hour turn around time. I was then able to use my new Fitbit at the gym that morning!!!! I thank you so much Asurion for all of your help and assistance. Thank you for making this process painless and so easy. I am one HAPPY customer! Thank you.

Get the warranty. You'll probably regret it if you don't. I thought I had lost my warranty information. Luckily I found it all on Amazon. I sent them the claim on my smart watch two days ago, 2/9/2022. Within 15 minutes that day, I got a reply with a shipping label. I took it the shippers store. Within a few hours of getting home, I got an email from Asurion saying that my claim had been processed. And the Amazon Gift Card amount was posted to my amazon account. I ordered a replacement before 9:00am. And my replacement was delivered before 8:00 pm. Yes, I got the warranty on the new smart watch. And on my smart phone. I won't purchase electronics on Amazon without purchasing an Asurion Protection Plan.

This is the second time I have actually had to use an asurion policy that I purchased. The first was for a hair dryer and the second was for my Fitbit. The policies are reasonably priced and totally worth it if you need to use them. I save the emails with the policy info in a special folder in my email and when I needed to use them, the asurion site made things super easy for find my item, explain the issue and file the claim. The claims were both verified the same day that I made them and instructions and shipping label sent via email. In both cases I was given an Amazon gift card for the full purchase price of the items which was sent to my email the same day that I dropped the items off at UPS for shipping. I just purchased a new Fitbit and as soon as I decide if I like it and will keep it, I'll purchase another asurion policy (I believe you have 30 days to purchase a policy for your item).

I used this for the pair of HyperX Cloud headset that I purchased in April of 2020. I bought this protection plan with the headset since IMO, I think it's worth getting insurance on electronic over $100.

My headset start to have some issues with the earmuff coverings and the audio quality in the left ear. I started to get a choppy sound from the left ear of the headset. It was unfortunate since I did really enjoy the headset.

I tried using the coverage to get a refund or replacement and I won't lie, it took me a lil bit to figure out how to apply for the coverage. I ended up going on the page for this, found a number to call, and spoke with an agent to describe my problems. They helped create a shipping label for me to return the headset.
They created the shipping label for me and said it was good for a month.

That was back on Sept 21st 2021. I ended up using the label and bringing it to UPS on October 13th, 2021 in the morning. Later that same day, I got an email from Asurion for an Amazon gift card for the EXACT price of the headset.

Ended up using that gift card to purchase my new headset, the Astro A50s.

Over 2 years ago I purchased a Fitbit watch, for which I paid $125. Last week it stopped working. Since the manufacturer warranty had expired I was now covered by the Asurion policy I purchased at the same time I bought my watch. The filing through the website is extremely easy. Asked a couple questions and received an immediate answer that my watch would be replaced and a shipping label was included so all I had to do was pack the watch, print the label they sent me and drop it off at a UPS store at no extra cost. Fantastic, right?

I sent the watch through a UPS facility in the morning and that same day in the afternoon I already had an email with a gift card for the value of the watch I had paid over 2 years ago. All this sounds great, except that the cost of the watch was now $145 so I ended up having to pay an additional $20 for a watch that stopped working.

The policy covers 2 years past the manufacturer’s 1 year policy. The only part I wasn’t too happy with is that once they send the gift card, the policy is terminated so I had to buy a new policy with the new watch I purchased using the gift card. Overall spending $50 (including the new policy I decided to purchase again) is not bad at all to get a new watch that would have cost me $145 after having used it for over 2 years.

I bought a renewed Garmin smartwatch. It's a discontinued item by Garmin, but you could get one renewed and I really was impressed with a friends same model. Because it was renewed it was much less than when they were new, so the Asurion guarantee cost less based on this. I decided to get it just as a backup plan figuring it was probably a waste of money. Well, the Garmin watch's face stopped responding, and it was no longer usable because of that. I made the claim, they sent me a UPS label to send the product back, and I got a gift certificate online sent to my Amazon account for the amount it was insured for within a day! If you're going to buy renewed electronics, they should cost considerably less, and subsequently, the Asurion guarantees are less to purchase. Renewed is not brand new. Might want to consider this....
