A absolute must have for a pricey electronics.

I purchased this insurance plan along with a $400 instaOne X. That’s is a 360 degree camera, meaning unprotected lenses protrudes where it can easily get damaged. I was leaving for two weeks in Europe and I wanted some protection in case and price wasn’t that bad.

Sure enough on my 10th day, in Prague, my camera fell off the outdoor table onto a concrete ground putting a deep scratch on the lens. On my footage from this point on you can see a blur on my footage.

As soon as I’ve returned to the US, I initialed a claim. It is entirely done online. Process was actually simple but every step of the way they deny you. Then you had to call to get an “override” which they always did without a single issue.

There is no deductible and they attempt to repair whatever the units is first. But as soon as they assess it, they credit your amazon account with full purchase price. Mine was done in about 4 days and I immediately ordered another InstaOne X and bought a three year insurance this time. Definitely worry the money for any electronics. When I get my $800 drone, I’ll be sure to purchase one of these for it as well. I’m a believer now!!

While filing my claim, I had three issues below;
1.While entering the billing address, the website got frozen. In this state, neither of "refresh" nor "back" worked, so it forced me to call the call center.
2.Call center representatives are all busy, and they do not pick up the phone after waiting for 30 minutes.
3.so I went back to the web and started over the filing process. This time, it did not get frozen. Instead, it did not recognized my zip code and I could not proceed. (tried next day and it worked).

Now I am in the process to mail the broken product. With me luck..
so how can I file my claim!!??

My son's drone crashed and broke, so we purchased this plan for it (since we were still within the allowable 30-day purchase window). It took an entire month and several phone calls (to remind them that we existed), but Asurion finally came through for us. They attempted to repair the drone and, upon declaring it irreparable, sent us an Amazon gift card for the purchase price to replace it. I'm grateful for the outcome, but we did almost give up on them several times over the past few weeks because the process was so slow.

You never want to use it, but its good to have when spending $500 on a camera. My claim that I had to file was one of the worst experiences I've had with online purchases that failed. A technical issue took out my ability to use the LED screen, which they replaced but instead of admitting an issue instead told me the issue was a button pushed in error... Why replace the screen and put me down?
3 months later after THAT issue and now the camera isn't recording video. I won't file another claim and be blamed, nor made to feel like a fool.
