Super for cleaning hard water stains and spots

I had read somewhere that citric acid worked better than vinegar at cleaning hard water spots and stains. I have a stainless steel dish draining rack that was really yucky with hard water mineral build up. I soaked it in a solution of All Natural Citric Acid and it came out looking brand new. I also used it to clean all the spots off my wine glasses and it worked leaving them spotless. I ordered this particular product because of the recyclable plastic container. After reading the reviews of other buyers having bought brands where the product was offered in plastic pouches, many buyers said they received torn or empty pouches and/or product spilled in the shipping box, so I decided this container was less risky for loss of product. I'm really pleased with how it works, and it arrived in great condition, no breakage or leakage of the crystals.

Works amazingly well to remove hard water deposits. I am making a relatively strong mixture with 1Tbsp per 1Qt of water and have used it to descale my hard water heater and clean my shower heads, sink fixtures, coffee maker, and dishwasher. I will never buy one of those expensive purpose-marketed descaling products ("coffee maker descaler") ever again now that I've used citric acid myself.

Wow if you like sour this is your product. We make candied lemon and orange peal and add this to our sugar coating and its amazing. We also tried it on fruit leather we made from rhubarb and apricot and its some of the best home made sour candy around. When we received it we thought it was a little coarse in size but tried it on the fruit anyways. Its was ok but not as sour as we had hope. So before the next batch we do it in the coffee grinder and powdered it. Ok that was the trick, it was supper sour and you don’t have to use as much. This was a win for us.

Larger granules, not powder

This citric acid has rather large granules, more like a coarse sea salt. I was expecting something like the Ball brand that I buy in the canning aisle of my supermarket which is nearly a powder. Still works fine for most applications but I wanted it for sprinkling on my popcorn and these larger granules just fall to the bottom.

I used this to clean teh coffee maker, dishwasher and washer because we have very hard water. It left the dishwasher looking brand new. It's a lot cheaper than buying dishwasher cleaning tablets and you can use it while you've got a load in. I have also mixed it with a little water to make a faucet and shower head cleaner. I have not used it as a food additive, nor for making bath bombs but it's there on the shelf waiting for the day I do.

This is amazing stuff ! I bought it to clean my toilet tank from years of minerals deposits brown stuff inside tank. I mixed about 1/2 cup of granules in a spray bottle filled with warm water and shook it to dissolve.
Poured the whole container in tank without draining it ….. and left for work. Cane hone and lifted the tank top and presto without even scrubbing the tank its like new!!!!! White again !!!
Now I will do the other toilets and sinks with brown mineral lines. Very happy with this product!!!!

I got this to put on food to prevent kidney stones. It taste very similar to the lime salt chipotle puts on their chips. I sprinkle it on food that I would normally sprinkle with salt. It tastes great! I love it and so does my husband. It taste good in chili and tacos and on steamed veggies and French fries so far! It's like a lemon lime salt taste. Also good in guacamole.

Remove mineral deposits inside Elec Water Boiler

Thanks to the reviews from other users, after reading them I decided to order this Roots Circle All-Natural Citric Acid 1.5 lbs container and gave it a try. The price is almost the same with the 8-count packet Electric Dispensing Pot Cleaner and Descaler, so I think I'd save money too.

I use it to clean hardwater/mineral deposit inside my Tiger Electric Water Boiler 3 Liter after 4 months of use. This product is not fine powder but looks more like C&H Granulated Sugar. I mixed about 3Tsp of Roots Circle All-Natural Citric Acid with tap water in a measuring cup, it dissolved right away, then poured into the Tiger non-stick inner container, filled up with tap water and followed the cleaning instructions that came with the Electric Water Boiler. When done, the inner container was super clean, very smooth to the touch, no trace of mineral deposit anymore.

I'm sure this citric acid container will last a long time for me and definitely more than 8 times of use for cleaning my electric water boiler pot than using the pre-package. My first time using the citric acid and I'm happy with it.
