Worth the money

I'm a small framed woman, originally I was a little worried to assemble this, but it was no problem at all for me.
All the parts needed for assembly were in the back of the chair, and the instructions were easy to understand.

Once put together, first thing I took note was how supportive and comfortable this chair is.. I have to work 9+ hours from home every day, so having a supportive comfortable chair is a must need for me.
I would recommend this chair.

Good if you only need a chair for a month

The fabric/pleather on this chair has torn after a month of daily use. It was super comfortable, relatively easy to assemble, and I really enjoyed it for the time it was functioning. I would like to return the product but can’t ship it, especially with the pandemic. I never write reviews but this purchase ended up being a bummer. Give me my money back without a return Mr. Bezos, or send me a new chair.

the back rest was hollow, when i received the product in the box all the parts were inside the back rest zipped up. once i removed the parts there was no padding. I had to use a harbor freight moving blanket folded up and stuffed inside the back rest which now makes it perfect. :) but still wtf you dont buy a desk chair and expect the back rest to be thick and hollow like really this isnt a pinata. Only buy if you have a spare blanket you dont want and would like to use as internal padding for the chair. but overall with the harbor freight blanket i stuffed it with its a really nice chair lol ...................note harbor freight moving blankets is like 5$ just an fyi (decent padding folded up makes lots of padding)

This is, I believe, the most worthless purchase I've ever made. I am simply flabbergasted that Amazon puts its name on this product.

I'm a fairly handy fellow, but it took almost two hours to put this chair together, and wow it's an awful chair.

Major problem#1: The back of the chair tilts slightly forward at about a 95 degree angle to the seat, and that can't be changed -- the screws are meant to go at that painful angle.

Major problem #2: The chair does not tilt. The mechanism that's allegedly supposed to allow tilting does nothing; doesn't matter whether it's pushed in or pulled out.

Major problem #3: The knob that's supposed to control tension also does nothing.

Major problem #4: The back of the chair is hollow — no stuffing. You're sitting on a layer of cloth with nothing under it.

Major problem #5: The piston is held in place only by gravity, so the chair comes off its wheels when lifted.

Major problem #6: The back of the chair is about half an inch wider than the armrests allow, putting undue stress on the screws which I'm sure would give out within weeks if the chair was usable.

Since it's not usable, this chair is going straight to the dumpster. I am *not* going to wrestle with un-assembling it, repackaging it into its box, and getting it to a UPS drop station for a return. I'd rather just throw it away and get the rest of my evening back.

I have owned this chair for less than 6 months and the seam is already tearing. Also the chair is loosing quality in hydraulics as the chair drops some when I sit in it. I am a average sized person and not overweight. Disappointed as I will now have to order a new chair.

Terrible assembly

Anyone who has purchased this chair now understand why the price is so low I almost put the entire mess back in the box for a return but I need a chair other than kitchen to work at my makeshift desk so I continued until I finally got the thing together after three hours. The screws just did not want to work into many holes so I had to use a vice grips to force the issue. I have to sit in the chair with the Allen wrench in my hand to tighten the screw every time I move.... what a joke. Had I known from the get go I would have passed on buying but again ... I needed a chair!!! Certainly there are others out there that are 100 times better than this plastic piece of s—-.

UPDATE —- keep the wrench handy because you’ll need it to keep tightening the arm rest screws almost every other day. What a piece of cra...

Defective hardware making the chair completely useless

The media could not be loaded.

Super disappointed. The hardware was defective and the screws would not go into the threaded areas. I used a little bit of force and the threaded part came out of the chair so now I can not attach the arm or back. Not only did they come out but they were completely destroyed or defective at the time of manufacturing. The delivery box showed no damage. Going to call customer service because there is no way this chair is going to be disabled and fit back into the box it came in.
After explaining my problem with an offshore customer service representative I had to kindly ask for his hirer up that had more authority. She kindly told me to keep the broken chair, issued me a refund and guaranteed a 100% functional chair if I reordered. The chair is actually sold by a third party so she had to call them. I just got my new chair in and I definitely got what I paid for. It is very pretty, however the back sits nearly at 89° so not an all day at the desk chair. It doesn't tilt back as far as described. I would not recommend buying this and if the cover does rip at the seams like other reviews I saw I hope it happens before it's to late for a refund.

Cheap plastic zipper! Dont buy!

I bought this for my daughter's desk since they will be online schooling for the foreseeable future. We waited almost a month for delivery and are greatly disappointed the zipper broke when we tried to close it. We are returning it and ordering a different chair that hopefully comes sooner.

What a disappiontment

This isn't the first chair I've purchased or assembled. I've been around the block a few times with these. I even have another Amazon Basics chair that I would rate as "okay". I'd give that one three stars.

This one gets one star.

The first part is that I don't understand why they want you to attach the armrests to the chair base before the back. The most fun part about assembly was taking all of that apart to attach the armrests to the back first. Made the rest extremely easy to assemble. I'm not even sure it's possible to do it the way the instructions say. I do wish I'd have remembered that from the last Amazon chair I put together.

The chair is not comfortable. It feels like I'm going to fall out of the front of this thing. I can't reach the lumbar support dial while sitting on the chair, so that adjustment is pretty much impossible to do. After quite a few attempts, I have no idea which way to turn the dial to get what I want. It seems like it just gets stiffer and stiffer. The back is rock hard, and my back is aching after about 20 minutes sitting in it (I normally don't get back aches).

The best part, though, is how the casters at the bottom of the chair don't work. There's always one that drags sideways, which essentially means that I cannot push it in a straight line. It always veers one way or another which usually causes the chair to glide off the edge of the mat. That means I have to get up to get the chair back on the mat. I'm going to have to spend thirty bucks to make the chair usable. I'd have been better off spending thirty extra bucks to get a half-ways decent chair.

(Edit: I purchased new casters, and the chair still does not roll true. Turns out, it's not the casters. It's the poor design quality of the chair itself).

Remind me to not go cheap next time.

I was hoping for this to be my new work chair, but it will not work for that. I'll have to continue to use my old beat up chair for work. Keep in mind that I wasn't expecting much when I bought it, and that's the primary reason why I won't be returning it. I got much less than what I expected, though.
