Worth the money

I'm a small framed woman, originally I was a little worried to assemble this, but it was no problem at all for me.
All the parts needed for assembly were in the back of the chair, and the instructions were easy to understand.

Once put together, first thing I took note was how supportive and comfortable this chair is.. I have to work 9+ hours from home every day, so having a supportive comfortable chair is a must need for me.
I would recommend this chair.

Good if you only need a chair for a month

The fabric/pleather on this chair has torn after a month of daily use. It was super comfortable, relatively easy to assemble, and I really enjoyed it for the time it was functioning. I would like to return the product but can’t ship it, especially with the pandemic. I never write reviews but this purchase ended up being a bummer. Give me my money back without a return Mr. Bezos, or send me a new chair.

After reading all of the reviews I decided to purchase the AmazonBasics office chair. I like the fact that it is light weight to move yet very sturdy to sit in. It does start to feel hard after a few hours of sitting in it. The seat height adjustment is great to have and works well. I lower the seat to put on my shoes and raise it again while sitting at the computer. There were a few comments about the vinyl covering. It looks very nice and feels very soft. I don't know how long the covering will last. All-in-all the AmazonBasics office chair is a good value for the money. Be careful when installing the seat to armrest screws. They will strip on you and/or the threads will pull out the chair stuffing if you miss the hole while turning the screws in.

Since quarantine started my husband has been working for 8 hours a day from home using a fold out chair and never complaining once. I read some of these reviews and it’s crazy how entitled people are. We do what we gotta do— there is absolutely nothing wrong with this chair. It’s extremely soft comfortable supportive and what you’d expect from an office chair. I bought it for him and put it together for him myself without him even knowing. If I can put it together anyone can it was super easy. It is very comfortable and supportive and he said he didn’t know how much he needed it until he got it. I’m grateful to have it for him.

To start, some of the reviews left by others are...

1) Someone left a review complaining that after removing the parts packed in the back of the chair they had to use a pillow for stuffing. First I built furniture for years, all backs have dead air space. Once you remove the chair parts, the layers of batting are there and the pulls are fastened in place, there is no stuffing missing. Just zip up the back and assemble.
2) Another posted the base was sent backwards. Hum, not that they assembled backwards. There is a front and back, they are marked.
3) A few posted the stitching came lose in the seat. Again I built furniture and I can see no flaw in construction that would cause that, perhaps abuse, propping up feet, sitting cross legged, putting feet on seat with shoes on. After I assembled this one of our young friends sit in it and yep, shoes on feet went to seat.

With that said, read the instructions and look at the assembly photos before un-packing the parts. Lay out the parts in order of the photo assembly. Don't assume you got it and know how. Remember each part goes in a certain place and direction. Take it slow, look at photos often.

I think it took me 20 minutes from unpack to sitting it in and not one issue was encountered.

I really wanted white but they were out so I got brown but I really think the chair is worth the money.

There were so many chairs offered by Amazon that I was overwhelmed. So I called my (really, anyone's) friendly American customer service rep (it was difficult trying to communicate with the offshore one I first connected to - she transferred me to America). After explaining what I was looking for, Vania - within seconds - found one for me in my price range and comfort needs and sent me the link. She mentioned it was an Amazon Basics item, and that, plus the photo, was good enough for me. Two days later, it arrived, and I put it together in about 30 minutes. The instructions were clear. The parts were STURDY steel, unlike some cheaper chairs. Spend more - it's for the good of your back and your safety!

The very comfy cushion looks and feels like leather. It's soft yet not saggy at all.

The wheels do not lock, but, as Vania told me, the chair "doesn't get away from you," either, and she was correct.

Amazon sells the same chair with the La-Z-Boy name, for THREE TIMES THE COST of Amazon Basics!

I buy everything I can from Amazon, for selection, service, and so much more. The blue Persian rug under the chair was also from Amazon.

Perfect chair for me!

I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews here, but my worries were unnecessary.

This chair was very easy to assemble. Many of the parts were shipped inside the zipped covered chair back All the parts were packaged nicely, separately, and the illustrated instructions were easy to follow. From the moment I opened the box it might help taken about 40 minutes, then I was using it at my desk.

Features I really like:. The seat length is shorter than many I've used from the back of the seat to behind my knees, which is good for me since I'm shirt, just under 5 ft tall. I've always had a hard time trying to find a chair that I can sit in properly and not have to edge forward so I can bend my knees. It's nice to sit all the way back in the chair in comfort.

Another great feature for me, since I'm short, the top of the back of the seat is the perfect height for me to lean my head back. The seat back is ergonomic, supports my back well. It also is padded adequately. The arms are a good height and slightly padded. The chair raises up and down easily.

Plus, the chair looks really nice. It's very reasonable in price, easy to assemble, and looks good. What's not to like?

Comfortable office chair at a great price!

I have purchased 2 office chairs in the past month. The first was for big and tall and I found the lumbar support gave me the feeling of falling forward. I took a chance on the Amazon Basics chair and I'm sure glad I did. I am 6'2" and 320 and this is the most comfortable office chair I've had sub $100. There is not a massive lumbar support which is what I want. I could add more cushion to the back at a later date, if desired, because the back piece has a zipper at the bottom. I did replace the wheels to the heavy duty rollerblade style wheels which makes a big difference on linoleum. I would recommend this chair to anyone who wants a comfortable chair at a budget price.

This was a great value. One of the threads on the chair was faulty so the screw wouldnt go into the chair so I had to repair it to avoid a loose armrest.

This Chair WON’T Make You Coffee

I was actually skeptical about buying this chair since I saw other reviewers complain that it’s not a good chair because it won’t support parts of their back, massage their feet and bring them a cup of coffee.

Glad I didn’t take that to heart and got the chair anyways

I am on a STRICT budget so while shopping I wasn’t looking for something “comfortable”.

I was surprised when I got this chair with how well it does in supporting me and my height. I’m 6’1 weighing in at 190Ibs and I feel good on this chair.

But let me make a PROS and CON list

Pros:
• Fits a tight budget
• Comfortable
• Fairly easy assembly
• Supports the back pretty well (im 6’1 keep in mind)
• The chair has A LOT of room. (I’m able to criss cross my legs while sitting on it. (I was surprised since I have big long legs)
• I daily this chair for work so it gets over 12 hours of use almost non stop. Still plenty of cushioning on the seat.
• The chair Leans Back

CONS:
• It’s not the most high end chair, parts feel somewhat cheap. (You get what you pay for)
• The arm rests are a tiny bit flimsy.
• No head rest
• the wheels definitely need to be changed. Not good at all.
• My chair favors leaning just a slight bit to the right when sitting

Do what you will with the information.

However, if you’re on a budget and are thinking “I desperately need a chair but one that will feel comfortable for just enough time for me to buy a better one”

DO NOT HESITATE to buy this chair.
