5.0 out of 5 starsAnother great addition to Tozo's bluetooth earbud lineup.
Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2020
The Tozo t12's are the most recent release (as of writing this) in tozo's bluetooth earbud lineup. They feature IPX8 water resistance so they wont break if you sweat heavily with them or take them into the shower, a charging case that has a little screen to indicate how much battery is left, and newly it now uses a type C connector to charge over the more flimsy Micro USB from before. The case is similar in size to that of the T10's but a little bit smaller in length, or about the size of a small pillbox which will allow it to fit snuggly in a pocket or handbag with ease. The earbuds themselves sound better than previous models featuring a bass booster to help how much power the little speakers can push out. Overall as an audiophile I like it but thats with regards to it being a tiny pair of bluetooth earbuds that's also waterproof (they are great for running with or carrying lightly but I would not use these as a desktop solution for example). The earbuds also feature touchscreen controls on their side with several tap motions to control. This was also the case for the T6 model but now the sensor is a bit larger making it much easier to do the correct gesture.

To sum it up in a TL;D - as a user of the T6's and T10's (T10 were my favorite of the two), My first impressions are to switch to these as my daily driver earbuds for now, a spot the T10's held for a really long time now. These have the best of both worlds in terms of the earbuds which is really great. This product is easily worth the 50$ in my opinion as I have tested quite a few other brands blue tooth earbuds in my search for something that wouldnt break whilst running and Tozo has been the only one to actually deliver on product promises and quality.

1.0 out of 5 starsWorks for only about 3 months
Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2020
I initially got these to replace my old ones which were cutting in and out. These worked ok for about 3 months but after 3 month they started having really weird issues. First is that It would lose the Bluetooth in my back pocket. Then it started getting really quiet, I would have to disconnect them and reconnect. Now I wear them and they will lower the volume by themselves, and then if I raise the volume after it lowers it self it will repeat volume at Maximum over and over.
UPDATE: So I contacted TOZO Customer Service, and they wanted me to change my review before they sent me a new pair. I told them no, and it took them over a month to send me a new pair and I am bombarded with emails to change my review. The new pair that they sent me basically statics out with any base so again not worth the headache or the bombarding of emails

3.0 out of 5 stars Similar to the Samaung Galaxy Earbuds+ [2020]; ALMOST!
Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2020

THE PACKAGING:
From first opening the shrink-wrapped, high end professional looking box with the embossed TOZO & prominently displayed IPX8 Waterproof logo; to the high quality, holographic QR-coded 18-Month Warrenty sticker and foam-fitted packed box for safe product transport to its end-user, this TOZO T12 product is dripping with quality and professionalism right from the start before even turning on the buds...

THE CASE:
The case that houses and charges the TOZO T12 buds is made out of high-end polymer plastic complete with powerful magnets that will keep the buds within their place even while the case top is open, upside down and firmly shaken, the buds will not fall out. Now, keep in mind, from my experience (and opinion) with these types of cases and buds, even though the case is made to take the occational, accidental drops, I use a form-fitting velcro wire tie that you can get here on Amazon, or at any hardware store. This way if you dropped the case the vibrations resulting from the sudden hit to the floor will not forcefully eject the buds and loosing them. This case uses a USB-C type charging cable requiring 5v @ .5A to charge the built-in case's 500mA v3.7 1.85Wh battery. Wireless charging needs 5v @ .4A input from a wireless charging pad.

THE SOUND:
Here is something to keep in mind when using ANY Bluetooth wireless devices. The bluetooth singnal is considered a PAN by industry standards. The Personal Area Network is not meant for long range usage 30 ~ 35 feet is all it is really intended for even when using v5.0 Bluetooth devices (earbuds, headphones, speakers, transceivers, etc). You see the signal is just that... a "device used to carry a PAN wireless encrypted frequency from Point A (usually a mobile device or a wireless transceiver) to Point B (a designated, usually paired device accepting that frequency). A BLUETOOTH FREQUENTCY HAS NO AMPLIFIED PROPERTIES. The amplification of sound falls back to the device SENDING the signal to the receiving device.

With this clarification (I hope 😉), I am using my Samsung Galaxy S9+, with one of the best music players on Google Play, PowerAMP (latest version), with its extensive , highly flexible EQ, separate bass/treble controls with music purchased from Amazon Music (standard MP3/AAC formats), I can tell you that the music has a decent sound (my test song was Armin van Buuren's "A State of Trance 2019"'s "Tesla" which has a decent mixture of Bass, Midrange, and Treble beats) when it comes to the midrange and treble, but the bass could be a little more pronounced, but it is stll great and robust enough to get the point accross. It is not significant enough to remove an overall star for it though.

Noise-Cancellation & Fit:
I am basing my findings and experience because I own a set of Samsung Galaxy Earbuds+ (2020 version) and comparing its noise-canceling features with these TOZO T-12s. As far as the noise cancelling properties are concerned they are great ONLY IF you are NOT expecting to hear much of what is going around you! I double-checked the book and it said nothing about an Ambiance sound feature, like the Samsung Galaxy Earbuds+ (2020 version). This feature allows the person wearing them to hear what is going around around them with the help of the built-in microphone(s), like with the Samsung Galaxy Earbuds+, turning the microphones on via the Ambiance feature allows the wearer to hear whats going on around you within your current environment, while still maintaining the buds secure fit within the ear. The TOZO T-12s do not have this feature. I consider this an actual safety feature, if your journey takes your jog/run/bike on busy streets.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE THESE WHILE DRIVING!

THE MFB TOUCHPAD BUTTONS:
Same as the others buds out there on the market.
Playing music: Tap once (on either MFB) Pauses/Plays current Track. Double Tap on RT MFB goes forward one track to the next one; tapping on the LT MFB goes back one track. Triple tap brings up (for me) the Google Assistant. There are audio assist commands to confirm what feature you activated via the MFB coming from the LT earbud; never the right.

You CAN utilize one earbud at a time PROVIDED that it is the LEFT one. Even though it does not state anywhere in the owners manual that you can. All I can tell you is if you remove the RT earbud while listening to a constant sound (like music), the LT earbud still plays that sound/music while the RT one turns off. This led me to believe that the LT one can be used WITHOUT wearing the RT one. This leaving me to the conclusion they are NOT TWS earbuds. (TWS earbuds, like the Samsung Galaxy Earbuds+ can use the RT OR LT at different times, if the user so inclines.)

EDIT (28.JUL.2020) ::

There is only one reason (and its a BIG one) for me to revise my review and, sadly, have to return these earbuds...

It is the way these handle a phone call on the volume side of the call; there is just NOT ENOUGH volume sound coming from the bud(s) while I am driving, unfortunately. With other monoral headsets the Samsung Galaxy S-series phones automatically INCREASE the volume with the phone's internal sound "amplification module", sort to speak (when the volume indicator goes from blue to red). (I can deal with TOTAL noise isolating when using one (or the other) bud to make / accept phone calls, but for some reason when I increase the volume to its max the blue volume indicator does not change color! I mean I hear the person clearly (providing that my radio, AC, and my windows are up, mind you); but ONLY at a WHISPER.

My 5-STAR rating dropped to 3-STARS because of this issue.

No pair of buds should need that much help of a phone's internal amplification system or an app's pre-amp (like within PowerAmp music player) booster through its software EQ, to have a decent phone (sound or video) conversation. I mean there are a lot of choices for within the ~$40 range to try.... Sorry Tozo...

Hope this review helps...

Cheers!

3.0 out of 5 stars T12 is not better than T6 - comparison to older T6 earbud
Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2021
Color: RedVerified Purchase
PROS
-New shape and insertion is improved
-Shape is easier to keep a hold of, you wont need to move furniter to find it as often
-stays in ear canal securely (upgrade from T6 which needs a lot of readjusting to make it stay)
Type C usb charger cable instead of micro usb NO FLAP that must be opened like T6
Allows wireless charge

CONS
-Battery is smaller (why?!?) But case is way bigger (T6 has 600 - T12 500)

-SOUND IS VASTLY INFERIOR

T12 sound has brassy tones - no richness whatsoever
T6 blows this new version out of the water

Songs used for comparison:
Masterpiece by Jessie J
I just wanna shine by Fitz & the Tantrums
Sol invictus by Audiomachine
Rise Above by Veiger Mrgerrsson
Flying by James Newton Howard

I bought another T6 in case they stop making them

3.0 out of 5 stars Touch control feature not for me
Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2020
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
I bought these to upgrade my T10 earbuds. These are controlled by touch and are extremely sensitive. They are no good for use in the rain or in the shower. The sound quality is great, great battery life and case. Overall it's a good headphone, however the waterproof function is rendered useless since water interferes with the touch controls. So that the volume goes up or down on its own when the earbud becomes wet. Also if you're the kind of person that is constantly adjusting the earbud in your ear it's easy to unintentionally change the volume, hang up on a phone call or skip a track when you touch the ear bud.
For my purposes the waterproof function is essential and so I'm going back to my tried-and-true TOZO T10 ear buds.

Tozo makes great earbuds, I previously owned T6s and loved them the T12 are my second set of Tozo. I am disappointed in the T12. I am on my second set of T12's after exchanging the first set because they were on the fritz. I had hoped that this was a "one off" but nope same problems with the new set.
Specifically the LEFT side automatically reduces volume (cannot be stopped except by replacing in charging case) and will also power itself "off". This second pair were 3 minutes out of the box and this began! are notably bigger than the T6 and dont remain in my ear as well and so are prone to falling out. Additionally the touch sensors are SO sensitive I cannot wear a "beanie" or "watch cap" style hat or even pull up my hood while using these as it makes the sensors go through literally all functions (volume up, volume down, skip fwd/rev, power on/off, google assistant etc). Even my hair falling across, but not contacting them, will trigger this. They're considerably bigger than T6 and so are prone to falling out so a hat is a must for a runner.
On the plus side, sound quality is fantastic, battery life superior (around your 6hrs per side at loud volume) and water resistance is as stated (tested when one fell into a puddle, survived submersion perfectly)!
I'm dumping these T12 but NOT Tozo, going back to T6's!

UPDATE: FEB2020
Having used this for a little over 2 months now, I am a lot more comfortable to give it a fair review-assessment (refer to my old post). Here are a few things why I knocked it off the original idea of 4 stars:
-the materials feel cheap in comparison to the T10. If you've owned both, you'll know what I'm talking about. It's as if the T12's were rushed and corners were cut; the case material feels more thin and flimsy. <--refer to the outer edge material to of the T12 feeling "plasticky" instead of that soft-rubber material prior which made it less likely to slip your finger when doing controls on the earpieces.
-the T10s interface was more intuitive than this. if i wanted to stop/play it just made more sense with the touches and user interface. this one is not as responsive. I am partially blaming this to the material they used, refer to the above point on plasticky material
-This is a "mixed bag" double edge sword when comparing this, T12, to the T10 model. With the T10, once I connected, it rarely had any drops or lost connection, I had to manually switch it if I wanted to go to a different device. The T12 has this ability to connect to the next device if it is dropped (intentional or not) from the current bluetooth device to the next bluetooth device. I consider this a "mixed bag" because i like it and dont like it at the same time. I've noticed my T12 has more drops than I would like.
-personal aesthetic: I prefer the older T10 where I could see the blue dots and it could give me an instead feed of my battery info. The T12 only has 1 blinking light outside, you physically have to open the shell to see what is the battery information AND it won't tell you unless you put the ear pieces back into the base to get any information. I wish the T10 concept for battery info was kept, was so much better in information display.
-the loop. I don't know how many of you like the loop or not, but I absolutely love it because i could keep it connected to a piece of string and it wouldn't move, it was very handy with my travel/gym bag, that way I would always worry where it was. the T12 has no loop for a string/lanyard to connect.

Overall, I still would buy the T12 because it does have better battery life and sound quality from the T10. I just feel that they rushed this, however, and that led to some corners of quality being cut for the physical aesthetics and design interface.

This is actually my second product from this company. The only reason why am buying it is because, the first product got lost and I can’t find it anywhere. Maybe the gremlins, or my three year old delinquent took it and started using them secretly and no longer can I find them.

I just received this today and have tried it, already the surpasses the T10 model. In the previous model (T10), what I really liked about it was it stayed in my head and most importantly, the battery life would last for several days. And if it’s starting to go low you just put it back in the case and it’ll charge itself. This from what I have surmised, is that the battle even last longer than the quality of the sound is even a lot more crisp. I do like the fact that it is basically an upgrade from the previous model and overall, it just fits better in my ear and canceled the noise a lot better from the outside.

I definitely would recommend this product to anyone who is not willing to splurge a lot of money on tother products that will cost an arm and a leg; this is for those that want good reliability, without paying Exorbitant price.

I can't get these to stay in my ears. I've tried several sizes of the rubber gasket things, but it must be the shape of the earbuds themselves... The sound quality, battery life, ease of pairing and charging case are great (it even does wireless charging), but they just don't fit right. Too late to return them now, so I'll just have to put up with them the way they are...
Well, I accidentally put them in the opposite ears and they fit better that way. I'll use them this way, but it also means the controls are all backwards...

3.0 out of 5 stars OK, but misses some marks
Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2020
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
There are a lot of really good reviews on this set but for me it might not work out.

Pros: the case the wireless earbuds come in is sleek, lightweight, fast charging. The earbuds itself are also lightweight and the touch controls are nice to have. The bass, as many others have mentioned, are deep but only if you push the bud further into the ear. Comes with several ear cushions to find the right fit. I am not an expert in optimizing music variations but the pitch and everything seems fine to me.

When I first got the set, everything was functional but all the callers would indicate I would sound as if I am underwater even though they sounded clear to me. Attempted several resets of the connection to my cell as well as the earbuds themselves with the provided instructions. No change in quality. Contacted the seller and they provided a new set. Did not have the same underwater issue from the prior. Great customer service, A+ on that aspect.

Cons: the buds hurt after a longer period wear, which for me is about the 1 hour mark. I've used every provided cushion and the results are the same. I don't believe it is a cushion issue as I can wear it , comfortably, initially. It seems that it becomes uncomfortable due to the weight of the earbud itself since it will lean out and apply slight pressure to the top of the ear canal. You cannot push the bud into the ear far enough to not disrupt the mics, this is my biggest issue with the product. There are 4 mics, total, but their placement is not practical. Mics are located on the top and bottom of each of the buds. If you push the buds in too far, when you are on a call, no one can hear you speak. Having them out slightly to where those on the other end can hear you, it will feel as if they will fall out of your ears. 4 mics seem as if it would be better, but their placement also seems like a total fail. The bud is so large, you would hoped that it could have been placed outward for better useability and not interfere with the touch controls. I didnt experience the random volume changes that others mentioned but tapping did cause some annoyances of their own. When tapping, it would push in the bud and the next call I would be on, they couldn't hear me so I would then have to pull them out again.

As someone that purchased these for both work (conference calls) and leasure(personal calls/music/audio books/etc), it doesn't have the whole package. Additionally, the display does provide the information of the case life(numerical) and earbud life(bars) but the same as others have mentioned as well, it will only display when placing in or removing the buds from the case. Would be a good enhancement if it would display when the case is opened.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing sound quality

I was really excited to receive these as I’ve been wanting Bluetooth ear buds for quite some time and didn’t want to spend over $100 on Air Pods. They were nicely packaged and super easy to set up. The first thing I noticed is how big they are. They’re huge and look a bit unsightly when in place. I liked that they provide several size options for the ear pieces and I was easily able to find the right fit. The sound quality was really poor. I was surprised because so many reviews commented on the superior sound. My husband let me listen to part of a song on his Air Pods and then I popped these guys in and played the same song. I’m not a sound expert at all but there was no comparison. The bass was non-existent with these and they weren’t nearly as crisp. I’ve returned them and just sucked it up and invested in some Air Pods.

3.0 out of 5 stars I like the T6 better. Let me explain.
Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2021
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
I've bought TOZO products for the past couple of years. I bought T6's because I figured I have nothing to lose by getting a pair. I loved them! Great sound, great price, very comfortable, and extremely versatile. After a while, they started having connectivity issues. Every 15 minutes or less they would just drop connection out of the blue. I figured I just worked the hell out of them...50+ hours of music per week! I would wear the left one at work and when the battery died, I would pop the right one in my left ear and keep rocking. It was a seamless changeover and had the same level of comfort without contending with molded directional earbuds (left bud molded to fit in the left ear a certain way).

Fast forward to my purchase of the T12's. I figured they're supposed to be an improvement on the T6's and I wanted to stop the connectivity issues I was having. The first thing I notice is the nifty case that gave power levels with a visual percentage. I love that feature since it allows me to monitor when I need to recharge. Also, I saw they had molded directional earbuds. I am not a fan. When the battery would die, I would put the other bud in like I used to but It would be so uncomfortable I would give it up and stick them back in the charger for a little bit to last my remaining couple hours. Another thing to point out is with the T6's, when the battery started getting low you would get a verbal notification 3 or 4 times over about 15 minutes before finally shutting down. With the T12's, you get one notification. Then within a few minutes, it abruptly shuts off.

Overall, I can't justify recommending these. I know it's just a personal preference thing, so I will end this by saying if you don't mind my complaints, these are great! The sound quality is on par with the T6's, so if you enjoy your music, these will treat you well.

3.0 out of 5 stars I wanted to love them
Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2021

They were nearly everything I wanted except they just would not stay in my ears. I tried every one of the many plastic bud cover things that comes in the package but they would fall out when I did anything. Bend down to pick something up, buds fall out. Take off a loose shirt, buds fall out. Jog 2’ buds fall off. Almost lost one completely and decided it had to end. I ultimately returned them. If they would have some way of securing them - like an attachment - that would make them nearly perfect.

The touch operations take some getting used to (especially when you’re constantly having to adjust them to stay in your ear), but work splendidly. The sound is incredible!!! I haven’t worn any ear buds that canceled noise, sounded so great, and has such good mic quality all in one.

The battery life was okay, probably better than most but I use them like crazy so it may seem like it’s less long than it really is.

The colors are beautiful. I got the red but the rose gold looked amazing too. True to the pics for sure.

Honestly if I could have kept them in my ears when moving I would cherish these with all my heart. But if you’re scared to cook, do laundry, garden, go to the restroom, or even use them outside your house - whats the point?!
