Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Our remote for Fire Stick apparently died. I tried every thing on line to revive it. When I saw the prices of just the remote I decided for a few dollars more might as well get the whole thing and not worry about pairing remote and Fire Stick. I am not happy the remote by itself was almost as much as both together.
Not impressed. If had to do over, I would not do it again. It keeps freezing up and crashing. I've had several of these over the years. Currently 3 in use. Only reason go it was because moved and lost remote so ended up about the same price. If I can get the remote working and use on other one I will do that instead. However with that said I like how the format on the main screen is easier to manage. But, is it worth it, not really.
I purchased my last Fire Stick, and it was refurbished. I have had no problems with that item, and it's been a couple of years now. I ordered this item, and it was defective. I put new batteries in it three times as the remote kept saying the battery was about to die. Each time, the back panel of the remote got warm which is not a normal thing. I am returning this item and buying a new one instead. It may just be a fluke that this stick was bad. I know the new one will be great, so I am anxious to receive it this Friday!!!
Though glad this FireStick actually has volume control with Bluetooth devices (finally), it's had to be updated 4 times in 2 weeks-- not automatically-- and has to be powered off and on manually (at the power source) every*single*time it has been shut off. Even for a few minutes. Not a great feature.
Had to end up buying a brand new one because this one is terrible. It’s not a problem if you are OK with constantly unplugging it and resetting. It has no memory so I was not able to download all the apps I needed/wanted.
As a Fire Stick, it works fine. I don't have any problems with the buttons that are there, but in the photograph, the remote has both a power button and volume controls, whereas the Fire Stick I got has neither. It's like a "light" version. Feels deceptive, wouldn't recommend.
