Why buy a Citizen?

I was going to buy a Citizen watch so I didn't have to deal with changing batteries anymore but then I found this one that is similar in appearance to the one I almost bought for $265!! This is a beautiful watch that is elegant, easy to read, and looks more expensive than it is. I don't submerge the watch in water but it has been splashed while washing my hands and that hasn't affected it's function at all. So I have to change the battery. Big whoop.

Happy at first, but....

Loved the style, the fit was perfect on my wrist, seemed good to actually have a WATCH again! I wore it all the time!
Sadly, I only got to enjoy it one week before it stopped working. Hopefully it’s just the battery, I won’t know until I can get a new battery to try. It was running when it arrived, most of the time a new watch has a little plastic tab you have to remove to connect the battery, but this one was already running, so maybe the battery just ran down.

I have recently found that a lot of my watches require reading glasses on to actually see the time!
This one does not, which is the biggest reason that I like it. Simple, clear, black numbers on a white face. The bracelet diameter is fairly large - this fits slightly loose on me & I have big wrists.
For smaller wrists, the included instruction sheet shows you how to remove links with a pin remover tool & how to shorten or lengthen the clasp, too.

[Other reasons I like this watch:]
- 2 tone metal blends with all sorts of other jewelry
- the silver is matte & the gold is shiny & it’s a pretty combo
- simple, classic face design
- well made foldover clasp
- it came with the time already set!

I don’t have any information at this time for price, but I have always found Amazon Essentials to be a great value, so I’m sure this will be, too. I’ve been wearing this since it arrived & it’s comfortable & nice looking, so I’m a fan!

I love wearing this watch. It is kind of old-fashioned. I love that. I am 65 and will be wearing other watches soon. However, this one goes with everything with the two-tone metal. I have had it on for over a month and haven't realized that! Funny. I have enough weight on my smaller bones, and I do not have to remove links yet. Soon I will be thinner - next year - but this is not an issue if you save the links you take off. This is a good size for women who might weigh a lot or have a larger bone structure.

This is a lovely feminine watch with a small crown and movement with classic to antique look if you like smaller and more feminine looks. A bit ornate, but not out of place with my contemporary clothing.

I love the movement and lovely classic looking regular numbers in a beautiful font.

Please take a good look at this lovely watch. It is such a beautiful item for a great price, looking more expensive than it is.

The construction seems solid enough. It's a standard pin link band, so it's really quick and easy for a jeweler like me to remove links (or anyone with the right tools, which are cheap cheap cheap), but it also has a traditional adjustable latch that helps alleviate that need for many people. It seems like the kind of watch I'd find at a big-box store, and there's nothing wrong with that. Unless you have to have an expensive, impressive watch, this one will be perfect for you. It depends on your personal style. Most folks just need a watch that works, and with a standard internal movement module, this one will do that with aplomb, and its standard metal backing plate means there's nothing fancy required to replace the battery. It has a pretty traditional style to go along with it, so whether or not it goes with everything depends on what you own and your personal taste. In the end, that's all that really matters here. It's Amazon Essentials, for crying out loud, not Amazon Fancifuls. It fits the Essentials bill perfectly.
