I did a ton of research and found many products that fit the bill, but many are SO expenisve. This product is reasonably priced AND it works well. I tried a few others that were also well priced, but did not clean as well. This stuff gets my whites white! I had another detergent that left them grey and dirty looking. I highly recommend this product!
UPDATE: I just reordered and although I never paid attention to how much I use over a x period of time; it just so happens that I noticed that I placed my first order of this size in July. I do laundry for 4/5 adults. My parents live with us and my adult son lives here some of the time. This container lasted just over 6 mths. That's a helluva value! Just wanted to pass that along. Oh, and I always use one full scoop (provided) when I wash one load. The package says for small loads you can use 1/2 a scoop, but that does not seem like enough. Point is - even with my heavy hand - this specific size product lasts a long time AND it worked just as well from the first scoop to the last.
