Awesome a Find but Beware - Strong Chemical Smell

Great value! The multi-functional blackboard and whiteboard make this so versatile to get through multiple ages. Easy to assemble and included all the tools to do it. My biggest complaint is the super strong chemical smell from the lacquer or glue they use to create the wood. I had to unpack it and set it outside for a few days to air out and still smell it after a week. Definitely high VOCs which then makes me question the safety of my child being in it.... so for now we limit the time he’s in it and continue to air it outside.

Nice helper platform, but gives off a terrible chemical smell.

I have been looking for a toddler helper platform like this, but wanted either an espresso or a white color to go with the color scheme in my kitchen so I selected the white color. Assembling it was fairly easy, except I noticed that there were globs of white paint that settled into the hole where the plug fasteners belong. That did not allow them to fit unless you try to dig the hardened paint out.

The most unpleasant thing about this item is that it smells terribly. After about a day, it started giving me and my husband a headache. I tried sitting it out in the garage and it still gives off an awful chemical smell.

Absolutely HATE this. Opened the box and it smells so intensely of chemicals that we had to leave it outside to air out for a while. Once it wasn’t giving us a headache, we built it. Except it only came with a screwdriver despite 90% of the pieces needing an Allen wrench. Got the whole thing put together and the dry erase/chalk board falls out when you try to fold it because it’s not secured in place. Then we tried to put our very average sized 2 year old in it and she barely has room to stand. The whole thing feels unstable. Will probably be returning, but may look into just using the parts to redesign a new one.

Definitely do not recommend

the paint job had quality control issues, where some areas did not have paint.
it also has a very strong chemical smell. I placed it in the garage and after several days it still has that strong odor.
I don't think they used a toxic free paint, this is really strong and if it can give an adult headaches, then it's not good for my son.

Shipping was fast and product was easy to assemble, but the item is not stable. Because the item doesn’t have the little feet built on both sides of the stand it can easily be tipped over. I will be customizing the product to add more wood on the bottom to give it balance. For as much as this item is, such adjustments should not have to be made after the fact.

The hinge is missing

It might me a good product at this price. Unfortunately we received the stool with some pieces missing. In the box there were no sign of the two hinges. Without them it is very unsafe and it comes apart very easily.
