Well, I’ve been using Apple watches forever. I always liked the health features and all the gadgets it has. However, it has always been too expensive.
When I got the Uwatch 2S from UMIDGI, I did not expect to be impressed. It was only $29.99, and compared to other brands this doesn’t even covers the accessories.

Well, here I am giving it a try.

To start, the material quality is definitely high! It is not made of aluminum, but it is light and feels very sturdy. It looks premium and feels premium.

The screen is very responsive and fast. It is very impressive for the price tag.

This watch has important functions that no other watches from big brands offer. It measures blood pressure, oxygen levels, besides heart rate, and other features.

I would definitely recommend this watch to anybody out there looking for an alternative. The quality of UMIDGI products has always impressed me, but this time it just exceeded all expectations.

I will definitely continue to use UMIDGI products!

1.0 out of 5 starsPretty disappointed
Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2020
Just received package and out of the box it was at 3% charged, unlike the other reviews. Band seemed very cheap and slightly dirty?? like it had been used previously. I really wish it had pointed out more that the watches screen is very obviously square, unless you turn brightness down to 2. If you don’t care about the appearance of items, I’d say it’s a pretty decent watch for under $50. App is very user-friendly which I like, but a vast majority of the reviews on the app speak about the Bluetooth not working so well. I experienced this first hand, as I had to re-connect twice within having the watch for 15 minutes. Will update after usage, but if you have the money, just buy an Apple Watch.

*EDIT* Still using the watch daily for work. The Bluetooth does disconnect very frequently. Due to it continuously disconnecting, the text/call alert isn’t very useful. The only reason I continue to use it is for the value of calculating my steps and knowing the time. The battery has decreased with time and I’m now having to charge it every night. I eventually just caved in and bought the Apple Watch.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm blown away by the features available at this price

Umidigi has done it again.

I've owned several Umidigi products, from phones to smart watches and headphones; I'm always impressed with the value provided at their available pricepoints. If you're not interested in paying the premium for a logo or brand name, this is where you'll find a lot of the same features at a much better price.

This watch offers many features that any data-enthusiast or fitness fanatic will love.
Among others, you get:
A huge variety of fitness tracking modes
Heartrate monitoring
SpO2 (oxygen saturation) monitoring
Blood pressure
Sleep tracking
Pedometer
And more....

The variety of watch faces is a nice feature in comparison to the other Umidigi watches, and the "Da Fit" app that pairs with the watch is pretty awesome. I love how it provides your rankings against other users for sleep/activity to give you a sense of how you're doing against other similar age profiles. The remote camera and music controls are especially nice too.

If you've never used a smart watch before, it's an excellent entry point, and if you're replacing an older smart watch and looking for a fully featured watch that won't break the bank - this is a great option. I've been very pleased with my purchase and I'll likely be buying more when the holidays come around as a gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Improved UMIDIGI Uwatch
Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2020

The Uwatch 2S is a nice watch. I was not expecting the Blood Pressure feature, but this has it. I have used the Uwatch 2 and it is similar to the 2S, very accurate in the Sleep Monitor feature. The 2S is very lightweight and comfy. Still, I changed the bands in less than a minute for a more personalized look. I still have to try the fitness tracker, but I can say now that I expect accurate results because of the experience I have had with the Uwatch 2. I do recommend the Uwatch 2S as it is not very expensive and the navigation to get you to the many features has been improved, but if you'd rather have more features I'd recommend you to buy the Uwatch 3 for $5 more. Still, the 2S is very good for $30, sleek and nice design.

5.0 out of 5 stars It reads Blood Oxygen which can be so important in these Covid times
Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2020

Don’t let its low price fool you. This is the smart watch you need.
This is my first smart watch. I have an Umidigi F2 phone which I love, so I figured this was worth a shot. I’m so glad I tried it. I expected the usual things from a smart watch. What I did not expect was Blood Pressure or Blood oxygen and I didn’t expect it to be able to tell the difference between so many sports. I have a medical professional in my family who checked my Blood Pressure, Blood Oxygen and Heart rate alongside with the watch readings and they were pretty much spot on. We were all surprised that a little, low-priced watch could be so accurate.
There is not much in the way of instructions for this watch but the set-up couldn’t have been easier. This Uwatch 2s uses the DA fit app that so many other lower priced smart watches do. Once I charged the watch for 2.5 hours and installed the app, my watch was recognized and set up immediately. I didn’t have to worry about setting up Bluetooth at all. The DA fit app is easily available and it gives you an awful lot of choices to customize your watch. The Uwatch 2s will use any standard smart watch band. I have not yet looked into what face covers work for this watch.
The one thing I would like it to do, is use Hangouts. I do not use the messaging app that came with my phone. The Da fit app will use your phone’s messaging app, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Skype Instagram, Line, Kakao Talk, and WeChat. Unfortunately I don’t use any of those. So I don’t get notified by this watch when I have a Hangouts message. No big deal. I still love the watch and I still have some dollars in my pocket.

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressed by another inexpensive Umidigi product
Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2020
Color: BlackSize: Uwatch 2SVerified Purchase
Thanks to the Umidigi store on Amazon I received the Uwatch 2S in 2 days so I've been able to get a few days use out of it before posting this little review.
The first thing I noticed is that there are no physical buttons on the device which helps give the Uwatch 2S a nice clean appearance.
The 'button' is actually a 'hot spot' on the bottom center of the watch face, which is as reactive as any physical button would have been.
Since the watch itself is circular with a square watch face, the 'button' is below the watchface and doesn't hamper your interaction with the other functions in any way.
Speaking of the watchface, three different brightness settings, I call them night, inside, and outside. There is no auto-brightness setting, but I don't see that as a necessity.
I simply switch it as needed, using inside most of the time, and flipping it to night, when it's time to go to bed. There is another setting that lets you turn the screen on and off when you raise or move your arm. You can also set a schedule to turn this feature on and off. I use it to turn it off while sleeping and back on around the time I wake.
Now, on to some of the other features as I can't cover them all, I'll concentrate on others that I've been using.
1. Remote camera trigger - seems like a 'why' but it's actually useful to be able to set the phone done so that it's stabilized and then click the icon on the Uwatch to snap the picture, complete with a three second countdown timer.
2. Step Counter - I have yet to use any device that is 100% accurate when counting steps and this is a good as any other that I've used in the past.
3. Heart Rate - along with the standard 'press the button to check your heart rate' you also have the ability to let it run while you are performaing a work out to get 'real time' data
4. Blood Oxygen Level - whenever I am at my doctors office theor fingertip pulse oximeter reads between 97% and 99%, which are the same readings that I get with the Uwatch
5. Blood Pressure - This was unexpected and please keep in mind that I do not see any kind of FDA certification that this is a medical device. That being said, I compared the readings that I got with my arm-cuff type BP reader and the results were a little bit higher on the Uwatch. But, they were consistent. Taking that into account, I wouldn't rely on this as a 'source of truth', but rather as a quick, easy, way to check throughout the day.
6. Weather - If you can't look out the window :) , or just want to know what the temperature amd quick forecast is, tap the icon.
7. Watch Faces - I've used other inexpensive watches that limit you to maybe three preloaded watch faces. There are many different faces available to load through the app, I didn't count as there were lots to scroll through. You are also presented with a semi-customizable watch face that lets you add your own background image and pick what you want displayed.
8. Timer/Stopwatch - standard fare
9. Notifications - you can choose to have the Uwatch notify you when you get things like a text or phone call.
10. Compass - Nice display with your typical NEWS circular indicator as well as degrees
11. Training mode - Broken out into verious topics like walking, cycling, tennis, weightlifting so that you can record your activities in different categories.
12. Music 'player' - lets you pause ff/rw whichever music app you are currently using on your phone.
13. Find your phone - tap the icon on the Uwatch and a chime will start playing on your phone to help you find it.
14. Sleep Tracking - standard fare with some very nice and helpful graphs and information in the app
I've had no trouble wearing it all day and all night, it is light and comfortable. The watch bands are easily replaceable if you don't like the one that is included or just want to change to something different.
I see no mention of water resistance, the included documentation indicates that you should not get it wet, so I have avoided getting in the shower with it on.
Overall it's a pretty solid device, especially at the price point that Umidigi has set. I ordered the grey model and it definitely has a nice refined look that won't be out of place whether your dressing casually or dressing to impress.

5.0 out of 5 stars Value Alternative Smartwatch
Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2020
Color: BlackSize: Uwatch 2SVerified Purchase
I have 3 Wear OS watches and 2 Galaxy Gear watches, all which cost at least double the price of this watch. I'll say that this thing punches above its weight. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works.

Pros:
-Step counter is accurate and updates immediately. Some other watches have a delay before they update the step counter. This smartwatch is quicker than my more expensive watches.

-It really is waterproof. I've used in the pool multiple times and it functions fine afterwards.

-Battery lasts 7+ days, which is longer than my other devices.

-Design is pleasing, compared to the fitness straps like fit-bit. I prefer wearables that look like classic watches. This is very personal, but the devices that look like straps are not something I would wear.

-Apps are pretty good as it has the basics down that most people would need. Workouts, heart-rate, stopwatch, sleep tracking, etc.

Cons:
-No Countdown Timer. So you can't set, let's say, a 5 minute timer to alert you later.

-Screen to body ratio is a little disappointing, but this is a budget smartwatch.

-No app store, which is understandable again, because this is a budget smartwatch.

I thought about deducting a full star because I do make constant use of a countdown timer, which was missing from this watch, but really that would be a half star deduction, which Amazon doesn't allow. Taking into account that this device is so less expensive than my go to watches, allows me to give this budget watch 5 stars. This is a watch which will help you track steps, sleep, workouts all without breaking the bank. I think this is a better buy than the strap based wearables.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice build with Great looks a true solid time piece.

The Umidigi Uwatch 2S has a great build an Aluminum body frame with silicon straps that feels very lightweight, Sweating in Uwatch S2 did not give me any discomfort at all. I'm very impressed by the weight and how light and premium it feels.
The software in this watch is nice although I did find one thing interesting are the swipe features swipe up to get to your activities and different app options and swipe down for settings also there's an option to change and customize the watchface 😌 so I'm pleased.
You can pair it with Apple or Android.

This watch can also read your body temperature and check your blood pressure levels as well as your pulse but be sure to keep it on so it gets a good read.

I haven't tested it in swimming but wore it in the shower and it still functions good as new.

The watch straps are removable so if you have some premium leather straps laying around you know what to do.

The haptic feedback on this watch is great you'll definitely know that it's there.
If you have or know people who are looking to get a smart watch that has great capabilities to offer like sports tracking, MMS notifications and music playing controls and sleep monitoring and more, I highly recommend this watch for them and first time smart watch owners.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing. Didn't meet expectations. Beware of fake reviews.

TLDR: Lots of fake reviews on this product. Software has too many bugs, and battery life is terrible. It does NOT have oxygen sensor or blood pressure monitor as many of the fake reviews suggest.

Pros:
Aluminum watch body is better than your average plastic watch body, but, of course, nowhere near as good as the steel watch bodies on older watches.

Easy to pair phone app with watch, and decently easy to set up.

First glance at the watch and it looks nice (assuming the display is off).

Sleep tracker I'll keep as a pro, although I really have no way to judge how good it is. It detects not only deep sleep and light sleep, but also REM sleep. A lot of the other watches don't list REM sleep. On the other hand, it didn't detect when I woke up and used the restroom, so accuracy is questionable.

Cons:
Step counter is wildly inaccurate. I found it losing as much as 30% of my steps when I walked a mile.

Distance traveled is way off: Even if the step counter was correct, they use the wrong formula to calculate distance traveled. They use your height instead of your stride (step length) multiplied by steps to determine the distance traveled, which, of course, is wrong.

Kcal count is wrong: I'm assuming they use the distance calculation for this, but distance traveled vs. online charts aren't even close, most likely because the distance traveled is way off.

Battery life: The specs claim a 15 day battery life, compared to a 10 day battery life of other watches. I'm on day 3, and the battery is at 35% (started at 100%). You do the math. There is no way it will last 15 days. I'd be shocked if it lasted 5 days. Compare to the watch my wife purchased (similar price, different manufacturer) and she's at 90% battery after 3 days. Both have notifications on, and both have constant heart rate monitoring turned on.

App / GUI: When you first install the app, you have to go through a profile setup. But, the app forces you to use metric units during the setup phase. After it is set up, you can go back and change to imperial, but when selling in the USA market, they should understand that we are still stuck on the imperial units.

The App/GUI also has some Chinese to English translation problems, and you can only guess at what they were trying to say.

Support: I tried twice contacting support about the distance problem. Mind you, the only way to contact support is through the Amazon contact seller page, and once they respond to you, you can't respond back, so it's a miserable experience. You have to go and contact seller again... At any rate, the first response was a copy / paste response, and was totally incorrect. The second response, rather than verifying the problem on their end, asked for screen captures. Reasonable enough if I could reply to the message, but since I couldn't, I would have to go through that whole process again.

In the end, the watch is going back due to Inaccurate Website Description (battery life).

I was surprised how much I like this fitness tracker watch. While there are only 3 watch faces loaded in the app, you can click on "more watch faces" and see 164 more that you can choose from! You can only download one at a time so the total on the watch itself will show 4. If you want to download another, the last one you downloaded will disappear from the watch and the new one will take its place. The steps are accurate, as are the BPM, and the blood oxygen saturation level. The blood pressure......not so much, but that's pretty much on par with all the other fitness watches out there. The BP function on all the watches are never accurate. The watch is lightweight and looks great. The instruction booklet leaves much to be desired, though. They had a note in the box stating if there was a problem or a question to email them. I did and got no response. In the photo with the icons that I'm posting, I didn't know what the top right icon is for. It looks like a cell phone with squiggle lines on either side. After experimenting a bit, I realized it's a mute icon for the vibrating function. On the whole, I think the watch is great and doesn't need charging very often and looks great.

Update: This battery lasts a full 3 weeks on just 1 charge! Love it!

Update March 26, 2021:. I took 2 stars off because a month ago, the weather function stopped working. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail. No matter what I do, it just shows a question mark next to the weather feature. Disappointed.
