The kid loves these things. He’s about 10 months and just beats himself up on them and I am amazed he isn’t getting hurt. We put some body pillows and other things along the sides since he has a death wish and no fear. Little dude flips off the side, then gets up for more.

Horrible smell, small tunnel

Its exactly as pictured and works great, but the tunnel is very small. My aon is 18 months and has already outgrown the tunnel part. There was a horrible plastic chemical smell on it when it arrived. I gooes time would help it fade or cleaning it, but its been 3 months and it is just as atrong as before. The smell fills the emtire room its in.

Small, scratched/scuffed within hours. This is not much of a slide, maybe for a puppy.

We've had a TumbleTrak mat on our playroom floor for 3 years, and it's taken all kinds of abuse, from kids, shoes, cat claws, and it's basically like new. One step down from TumbleTrak is Franklin sports which is not quite as snug or durable. These foam pieces are another 2 notches worse. Within hours, they have scratches and scuffs, one scratch revealing a white underlayer in the vinyl.

The mats only arrange in certain patterns: there are velcro flaps on the bottoms which fit up in only certain alignments. The over all result of combining these blocks is uninteresting. They are barely large enough to interest a 1.5 year old, and there are gaps between the blocks and they don't hold rigidly, so bigger kids can't really jump around too forcefully.

All that said, they are not terrible. Kids can play and walk and climb. They would augment a playroom. But the smaller blocks are not much bigger than a large backpack.

Of the 4 AmazonBasics sets, the one with the arch is the most interesting and fun.

It's Just Me

Made of polyurethane foam

When I selected this, I was not aware that it was made of polyurethane foam. Not something I want my children, or anyone in my household, or any other household, for that matter, to be exposed to.

Some polyurethane is believed to me more harmful than others, at least according to the state of California, and no information comes with this toy indicating anything about what may or may not be in this particular foam.

But that’s JustMe.
