I have had a really hard time finding a gluten free and vegan bread with a short, clean ingredients list. This bread hits all of those marks AND tastes great!

I’ve had other bread varieties from this company and have loved them all. This purchase is the first I’ve had of the original sourdough and it does not disappoint.

I saw that some reviewers mentioned the density as a bad thing. But I think the opposite. This bread is hearty and that makes it satisfying and worth the money. Super soft sourdoughs are full of ingredients we should all be avoiding - I’ll take a little extra density any day.

This also toasts well, just requires two toaster cycles. Well worth the extra minute. :)

I’m really happy to have stumbled across this company. This is the only bread I will buy now.

Certainly not the best I've tried

I don't know where all the 4-5 star reviews are coming from. Maybe from people who haven't tried a good GF bread. I usually buy Schar bread and have had good luck with it. Is it as good as "real" bread? No, of course not. No GF bread is. But it's at least edible. This bread was really heavy when I put it in the fridge as directed. Felt like a couple of bricks. While the flavor was passable, the texture was not. I tried toasting it and had two hockey pucks for my trouble. My husband tried microwaving it and was less than pleased with the result. Sorry, two stars is the best I can do.

There was a time when "gluten free" tasted like, well - sawdust. Not anymore!
I have another favorite GF bread, but Young Kobras has taken its place, yes indeed.
Young Kobras is flavorful, the intentional fermentation, the clean ingredients - WOWZA.
Nice that it comes in a sliced loaf too!
I gave a *4* for value for the "Value formoney" category, just to note that it is expense and that even with a Prime account I had to pay $5 for shipping - but really, it is so good (& fresh!) - even on a limited budget, it makes sense. I eat a slice most days and it lasts forever in the fridge. I freeze one loaf, take it out of the freezer when loaf #1 is almost gone.
Takes a long time to toast, as it should!
Try it people, get hooked like me.

Makes delicious toast

I have been getting this bread for awhile. If you like the tang of sourdough bread you will love this bread. It is gluten free and makes delicious toast. You might have to run the toast cycle a couple of times to get it real crispy. My favorite way to eat it is with butter but I also like it with almond butter and jelly. Sometimes I will have it with a cup of bone broth and that makes a tasty lunch. I am looking forward to trying their other flavors too.

This bread is delicious, healthy, gluten-free, soy-free, lactose-free, sugar-free, and organic. It's wonderful. Toasting it brings out the best flavor (like all GF loaves of bread). Breakfast, lunch or dinner, this is a wonderful fermented bread that is good for your gut, comforts you, and fills you up. It has a healthy amount of fiber too - 3gr per slice. So, if you are looking for a gluten-free, fermented bread that tastes delicious and is good for you, this is the one! Yes, it has a high price tag but it really does make you happy to eat it.

Living in Brooklyn you'd think I could find a great GF sourdough but I've not found anything remotely as good as this bread here (after much searching) so I am now getting this bread, all the way from SF. Crazy but so worth it. I immediately freeze it and take out what I need when I need, hit the defrost button on my toaster, toast some more after that and ahhh. It's a fairly dense bread, which I like, but it comes sliced to the right thickness, happily.

I love this bread. It's so tasty and has a great texture. Doesn't make me feel lousy the way some GF breads do. It does need to be super toasted - it's very hard to eat untoasted - but I've found that's the case with almost all GF breads. The sourdough taste is strong, and delicious. I've also tried the olive-herb and the fig, and they are both really good too! It's expensive, but I am happy to pay extra for high quality food that's not mass produced. Shipping has always been really fast and easy. I LOVE that the bags are compostable. Give it a try!

Ever since developing gluten intolerance & having problems with xanthan gum, I have searched long and far for good gluten free bread. Although there are many decent tasting gluten free bread options out there, there's still very few that are also gum free. The few gum free options I have tried tasted like chalk, crumbled and were pretty much inedible. I couldn't eat more than a bite. This one, however, is wonderful! I would definitely recommend to toast it well, which makes the flavor and texture just like actual, high quality bread I had been missing for so long. It is also very hearty and filling.

Finally found quality gluten-free bread

This bread is delicious! I've tried many brands of gluten-free bread and typically don't like the taste/texture. Young Kobras bread reminds me of the sourdough bread I've been missing after switching to a GF diet. I've shared with friends who eat gluten and they love it as well.

This bread is 100% healthy which I truly appreciate especially being GF/Plant based. It is acceptable in flavor, and must be heated or toasted. I do not think this is palatable without any spread (I used red pepper Hummus) and toasted, which made it more
palatable. Would I buy it again? I think I will pass. But this is my personal opinion and may have a different acquired taste:) The seller shipped 2 weeks earlier, which to me is A++

Edit: Toasting elevates this to a perfect 10, I used an oven broiler and didn’t use any spread! I love love this bread😍

Great Gluten Free Sourdough

We have been buying this delicious Young Kobras Sourdough Bread for about 2 years and just placed and received our first order from Amazon. This bread is baked with excellent ingredients, organic and holds up well without falling apart. We freeze the loaves right away, I've added a photo of our bread prepared to go in the freezer. We put a small square of parchment type paper between each slice allowing us to take out 1 slice at a time. It is also best to toast your bread, which is true of most GF breads. This product helps make a GF diet doable and enjoyable.
