3.0 out of 5 starsCheck earpiece contacts for film cover

I just got these today so can't really determine durability, longevity, but I previously read many reviews of complaints of non charging earpiece, or inaccurately showing higher charge on case vs what phone battery status says. This may be why. When I opened the box the case displays 100, so you think, hey, earbuds fully charged, cool...but that is the charge of the case itself...NOT the earbuds. The earbuds are NOT charging when you first open the box. I could not figure out why my phone said 80% and the case said 100, but then looked at the back of the earbud and noticed a tiny film cover over the contact points on the earpiece. As soon as I peeled this off, I then saw the charging indicator bars on the display. So this may be a reason some people could not get their earpieces to charge if they did not notice the tiny film cover. The sound quality seems ok to me, but I'm not that picky and don't like heavy base in my music anyway. I tested a call and the recipient said I could be heard clearly, but when I moved into a windy spot outside there was a lot of wind noise for the listener. After about an hour, the buds starting bothering me, but I wouldn't say they were uncomfortable...I haven't found any earbud that does not bother my ears. The earhooks are nice so I don't have to jam the buds way into my ears to keep them on. I don't think they really have a lot ambient noise cancellation, which I actually like for safety reasons. I don't want to be the idiot in the movie that gets murdered because of their stupid earbuds. So for just under $40, so far so good
