Broke after just a few uses

I would not recommend buying this unless you just plan on using it for decoration. After we used to be sorted just a few times it stopped working and sounds like the poor Sorting Hat has finally met it's end. After hundreds of years of sorting thousands of young eager wizards Amazon killed all our hopes and dreams of being sorted into a Hogwarts house. Now we will never know what house we would have been in. Thanks for killing my dreams and ruining our futures.

Really does talk and sound like the sorting hat! The opening is pretty small so I don’t see anyone being able to wear it for costume but I am putting it on the top of my Harry Potter Christmas tree.

Fun product for Harry Potter lovers. It doesn't quite fit an adult head but fits teens well. It speaks french also but it is easy to change the language inside the hat. Looks like the hat from the movie but without the crazy high price. Would recommend!

I have one beautiful and thrilled niece! To say she loved thisnisnan understatement. It's her favorite scene from the movies. It was so much run watching her and her sisters try it on to be told where they'll be headed. Definitely felt like the cool aunt lmao.

This is obviously a novelty item. We bought this for part of a Harry Potter-themed birthday party. It was a good conversation piece and everyone enjoyed using it, but we will never use it again. It worked well and sounded like the sorting hat from the movie. I would buy it again.

I bought this and everyone had trouble being sorted into their houses. Super easy to use. We had to set the language to “English” but it’s literally just flipping a switch. The instructions explain it all but it’s not hard to figure out. Added that extra “oomph” to the party. Hat material is thick and not cheap-looking at all.

It's fun and the kids really enjoyed this when we have them their wands and had them put in houses. It works as soon as you put it on, which is great because it adds to the mystery for your kids. I'll admit this is a "do it once" sort of activity but it's worth it IMO.
