5.0 out of 5 starsmy second favorite ball

having owned 5x M570, i would say I am quite qualified to write this review
I travel extensively and keep M570 with me in my backpack at all times when traveling all over the world.

these ergonomic mice are my favorite because coming from using trackpoint for 14+ years to a trackball, I can really appreciate saving the space to work in a tight spot, whether it is on a long haul flight or on a small desk at the airbnb or a coffee shop, I can still get work done efficiently without getting a cramp in my wrist.

M575 improves handling and textures of the mouse slightly, I can appreciate the sculpting details on the body, feels like one of those clay models where designers are slicing away at it. if you have seen clay model concept cars, you'll know what I'm talking about

It works well for Bluetooth and unifying receiving, switching between the two means flipping a switch on the back of it, which is fine

I also have an MX Ergo at home and use M575 on the road. Now I am buying another to keep at my second office location

and again, I'm throwing this in my backpack and keeping it with me and my HP Spectre 14T at all times

3.0 out of 5 starsMeh, is the best I have for this review
Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2021
I am not super happy with new m575 trackball, it works fine, with a couple of oddities. It paired with bluetooth without issue and was instantly working. I bought this just to see how it was and the fact that I've owned 10-20 logitech trackballs over the years. So much so that I have 4 m570's installed right now in my house.

The m575 was not seen in setpoint so I had to install logitech options. Legitech options require you to log in to use it. This seriously pisses me off. LO didn't see the m575 and that was the latest version downloaded from web. I then tried unifying receiver even though it was installed and working in windows. It still didn't see it. I uninstalled and re-installed LO and completely removed setpoint. Still didn't work. After closing and rebooting and opening several times it was like, hey there is an update and updated LO. It waswas suddenly able to see the mouse.

There almost almost zero options for the mouse now, button assignment and speed are only options
and you have to @!#% sign it to adjust those options.

Love the bluetooth hate LO and being forced to sign into a service to run my mouse settings.

The buttons are larger than the m570 but the body has the weird texture/ribbing to it.

4.0 out of 5 stars My initial feedback
Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2021

Just purchased this unit and a couple of initial thoughts. First, the only reason we gave a low mark on the Bluetooth connectivity is because you have to connect it with that little USB device. No biggie (so did my last mouse), though it does eliminate use of that USB port for other peripherals.

***Update (4jul21) - just learned how to connect it via Bluetooth. Ok, I'm happy.

I gave no stars for gaming, because I am not a gamer and so it's N/A.

My only issue with this mouse is the weight of the ball. I had seen one of these a couple of years ago and the ball (large marble, eh?) had some heft to it, which just felt good. This ball feels like a piece of plastic, light and nothing to it. It works, no question, but it's a little problematic because my thumb shakes a little when making small adjustments and when I used that mouse with the heavier ball it wasn't a big problem.

I know I can adjust the "speed" of the ball to eliminate the microadjustment issue, but then it takes a couple of spins of the ball to traverse the length of the screen(s).

So, I'll probably keep the old mouse when I'm doing detailed work and then use this mouse, when I'm not.

Yes, I want my cake and want to eat it, too!

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost a good M570 replacment

An improved version of the M570 with bluetooth support not just wireless. The main problem is with the wireless trans/mitter unit, it does not support older wireless products like the K390 wireless keyboard. I have to use two units to connect both and it does cause issues with Win 10. I have had the ergo trackball and it worked fine. Recommend skipping the M575 and staying with the M570 or Ergo trackball.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works fine for what it's used for

Many people were stating that this new design on this Logitech trackball was a failure by the company for it's users. I have waited to write this review with that in mind and found that some of it is slightly true but not to the extent people were bashing the device. This newer version works just as well as the older one I had and doesn't appear to have all the problems as stated by some people. I've been using trackballs for many years at this point and this one works just as well as others I have used. I use a drawing tablet on my desk and have limited space so the trackball is a major plus for space saving and functionality. I don't think I could use a regular mouse that moves all around in the space I have. As with all of these products there is a down side and that is the left click button wears out before all the other parts have even broken in but it usually takes a long time with thousands and thousands of clicks before there may be an issue. It would be a five star rating if Logitech could only find a micro switch that lasted a longer time before failure. All in all this works great and I have no real issues with mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to Find, But Worth the Effort

I stumbled across the M570 at a local store and purchased it. I was totally blown away by the smooth tracking and operation. My desk is rather cluttered, so the trackball is a God send, I did not have to move stuff around to move a standard mouse around. So, I purchased two more units, and carrying cases, and they arrived in excellent condition. The two units are now guiding the other two stations at my desk. What I cannot understand is why is it so difficult to find a quality trackball mouse. LOGITECH meets the requirement.

4.0 out of 5 stars Self Calibrating - Blue Tooth Setup is not clear.
Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2021

1. Bluetooth instructions were not in the box. Had to go to logitech to get process. Leaving the Unifying receiver in, regardless, when syncing device via BT. the cursor disappears. So had to lift lid on laptop and use touch screen to enable laptop to look for device, bad system. Tunring devicer off, to cancel sync, nope, keeps looking to pair.
2. No actual manual, so I had to print web page so I have instructions.
3. Device must self calibratge for motion actions, unlike SetPoint where you calibrate up/down movement. Again, no manual explaining this process, and nothing in Options SW to tell you this.
4. I believe slowing down mouse pointer speed allows it to "get calibrated" faster.
5. Especially like heavy detents in wheel movements, unlike M570 which was soft to me.

Logitech, provide manual on paring, dont care it's like other device, want to read it. Improve Options Software to inclued a "calibration feature", so I am productive quicker.

Overall Feel is fine. I will update this in month or so, ti see and report on quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great ergonomics for business use
Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2021

Space-saving trackball allows for smaller footprint than standard mouse. This version (and earlier non-Bluetooth model) offers good ergonomics and a particularly helpful scroll wheel. The big buttons are also ergo, but seem to be the first thing to fail (I’ve had 4 of these - 3 of the earlier models, and now this Bluetooth model - over the past 5 years or so). The extra buttons are relatively easy to access, but you need to use them frequently to remember what each one does. I typically use only one or two of them on a regular basis. I’d use more if I had other repetitive tasks that I frequently used. The software is clean and simple, and makes it easy to set things up. They are small enough to not get in the way, should you want to ignore them altogether.
I probably wouldn’t recommend this for gaming or drawing, but for moderate-precision, high efficiency business use, it’s the best trackball I’ve used (compared to 3 others in this price range). Not too gimmicky, and not hard on the wrist. Bluetooth is nice to save you a USB-A port where Logitech receiver used to go. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Takes a little while to get used to but works well

I love this trackball but you should be aware that it does take a while to get used to the layout, especially if you're coming from a trackball with a center ball like the Kensington Orbit. The quality so far is good and I've had no problem connecting with either the dongle or Bluetooth to my mac or PC. The shape of the trackball is comfortable if you're a righty. The ball rolls smoothly and accurately.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a nice upgrade from the typical mouse

A week or two in, I'm very happy with the Logitech Ergo M575. I don't have an RSI or arthritis or any unusual hand difficulty, and I am right handed, but it is comfortable, smooth and stays in place on my glass desktop nicely. I bought it to prevent repetitive stress and so that I didn't need a mousepad or to guess where my mouse ran off to. I seem to be adjusting to it pretty well so far, it does take a few days to feel comfortable with the new approach, but I'm glad I purchased it.
