5.0 out of 5 starsWow, what a keyboard!
Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2020
I love mechanical keyboards, it feels wrong using the older style anymore.

I recently built my daughter a PC and she loves my mechanical keyboard (I have a compact from Corsair like this but without bluetooth, and a full size from swordbill) and really loves the lights.

This keyboard is a winner, let's go over what I like about it

Build Quality on this is amazing. The keys are very responsive, the leds hit just right and you can easily change the colors and pattern by holding down the FN button and the various different keys to change it up to match your style. My corsair requires software that's very heavy and slows down my pc, so I don't use the software and rock the default lights (hoping to switch it out before long).

The base is solid, well beveled, this looks very nice and high end all the way through. (takes up basically no space on my desk and sits solid on my lap which is where I prefer to type)

The keys are not loud at all and are quite easy to type on. I like using it on my lap, the best part about it is it uses USB-C to change up and you can remove the cable and go into bluetooth mode.

The keyboard is as compact as you can get. The keys are not loud at all, check the video for a sample of the audio of me typing out the review.

Clean, this keyboard is very clean, I love the look and it's easy to match with the other products on offer by NACODEX. I've wanted a Bluetooth mechanical keyboard for quite some time, sadly this keyboard isn't for me but for my daughter, but she loves it, you can connect it up to your ipad and use it to type that way, I've used it on my galaxy note with no problems. I like the lights on the keys, I really hope they offer this product soon in black as I will definitely pick it up to replace my corsair, as it's comfortable using it in your lap and having bluetooth means I don't have to keep track of all the random RF mini usb's littered throughout my house.

Battery life is quite solid, you can turn off the LEDS and use it that way to make the battery last longer, but once you use the LED's you're not going to want to turn them off!

I'm able to type quickly and accurately with the keyboard even though it is compact, I run into no issues while using this keyboard, I love the multimedia options, you can even configure the keyboard for windows or mac mode.

All in all, highly recommended!

3.0 out of 5 starsCherry MX Switches with faulty bluetooth functionality - included cable does not support data
Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2021
This is my first play with Cherry Black switches, this is a huge joy to use from browns and reds. I used to type on buckling springs but this has been a great switch that isn’t tactile (which allows me to type without annoying people!). The keycaps on this are inoffensive and look good in my opinion. Colors are pretty generic choices but do allow you to select a single color for the entire keyboard (something I’ve only done with rgb keyboards), though rainbow modes are available if desired. The bluetooth light is a single blue led, which can be annoying if you have a direct contrasting color.

Usability - I would recommend USB-C only if you can as not using the keyboard for a minute with bluetooth puts it to sleep (to save battery) and creates a slight delay when you begin typing again, this can be annoying during a gaming session depending on the game you are playing. Additionally, the bluetooth mode has, on occasion, made a key stuck or failed to register me not pressing a key. For instance, while writing this review I hit backspace and it stuck on, deleting the entire review, so bluetooth is a no go. Additionally, the included cable is for charging only, and can not be used with the USB to PC mode, you will need to supply your own USB-C cable to use this wired.

Quality-wise - you are using cherry mx switches which is always welcome in my book. The keyboard itself has a bit of weight and doesn’t move around while on my gaming mat.

To enable bluetooth pairing, ensure the BT/USB button is illuminated and hold FN + P until P begins to flash, you can now pair.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good choice

I like this Ajazz K870T, I like it quite much. Good battery life (compared to similar products) and very versatile.

Pros:
-- it's mechanical, which means that you get a much better feel and feedback when hitting the buttons
-- it's wireless via bluetooth, but it can also work as a corded keyboard.
-- it can connect with up to 3 devices, so that you can use the same keyboard with different computers without the need to have 3 keyboards (this is a huge selling point for me)
-- It's backlit, with some pretty cool light presets. Brightness can also be adjusted.
-- decent battery life, it lasts around 4-5 days with the lights on
-- good balance between having a compact size and providing enough special function buttons
-- it has two OS presets, one fo Windows and one for Mac
-- you can replace some of the keys with spares of different colors that come with the keyboard. Pretty cool.

Cons:
-- The keys are a bit stiffer than what I expected. I prefer them to be a bit looser, they feel more "mechanical". The keys on my K680T feel better.
-- Since they provided replacement keys, they could have included Command and Option labeled keys for Mac users, but they didn't.
-- When you turn the keyboard off and back on, it looses the selected OS mode, and you have to select it again.
-- The battery life is decent, but it still doesn't get you through a full week. This is a heavy keyboard and I though they would manage to fit a larger battery in there.

Overall the K870T is a good keyboard, and I am starting to like Ajazz. This is the second Ajazz wireless mechanical keyboard I own, after the K680T I got a few weeks ago. Ajazz is a good option if you're looking for a wireless mechanical keyboard with rich features. I recommend this product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Key Travel, overall key feel
Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2021
Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I will start off by saying that Ajazz / Nacodex has become one of my favorite "alternative/budget" keyboard brands over the last year just due to products like this one. Let me elaborate;
I tested this keyboard for a week by replacing my main desktop keyboard with this one.
Overall the experience was a good one minus the need for a number pad (this is just due to the nature of my work and has nothing to do with this keyboard).

The backlight on the keys is bright and easy to read at night, but I can adjust the brightness up and down for when I work late at night and it is very dark.
The volume roller is also very nice and useful. My main keyboard also has one because I literally use it all the time.
The key travel is good and these black keys are a bit heavier than the brown keys that I am the most accustomed to. However I can say that all the tactile bumps on Ajazz keyboards are reduced vs other brands usually. Making the keys have a bit more "linear" feel even if it isn't fully. Personally I like this because it means that there is less weight on my wrists which is important considering that I use my PC for many hours at a time.
A standard wrist rest works fine with this keyboard, I have one for smaller keyboards that I use to test these keyboards with since my everyday keyboard has a built in one.
Overall I am very happy with this keyboard and will be testing more of these in the future. My other machines have all ended up with keyboards like this one now although I tend to look for ones that are full size because of my constant need for a number-pad.

As far as the wireless functions... I never used them because I cannot deal with wireless keyboards with my amount of workstation usage.

This keyboard is a great example of how a solid, great feeling keyboard can be built for an affordable price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent Keyboard For The Price
Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2021
Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I recently got a smaller desk for my computer and the old bulky keyboard that I was using on it seemed to just cluster my workspace too much so I decided to try this smaller form factor keyboard.

The keyboard seems to be primarily built from plastic but it does not necessarily feel cheap. There are variations in the colors [not the lights] of some keys which is not my cup of tea but I could see it being something others might like. As far as color variation of the lights is concerned, the options are extensive enough for my personal taste. You really cannot customize it too in depth but I personally do not really find that as too much of a problem.

What I love about this keyboard is that it is wireless. I find that I have to connect it maybe once every 2 weeks which is a decent battery life in my opinion. The wireless option is better than not having one at all. If you use multiple devices you are in luck because you can quickly swap between up to 3.

There are not too many complains that I have about this keyboard. It works for me and my experience with it has been great. This keyboard has been used for about 5 months at the time of this review and I have had no issues with it. Overall great keyboard that is worth a recommendation. I hope this review helps you make an educated decision.

IF YOU HAVE THESE TWO QUESTIONS ON YOUR MIND:
[1] IS IT WORTH $70?
[2] WHY MECHANICAL?

Then look no further! Here is a review addressing the aforementioned questions!

INSTALLATION:
Alright... the instructions are not that great... for real.... But here is a quick tutorial guide:
(1) On the back of the keyboard, switch the OFF to ON.
(2) Above the arrow keys, make sure the BT/USB button is blue by pressing it.
(3) Hold Fn + P until the P key changes color.
(4) on the PC/laptop/etc., connect to the keyboard.
(5) done.

SOOOO IS IT WORTH THE $70???

+Battery life is 12 hours with the lights on and 100 hours with the backlights off.
I am having mixed usage (backlights on and off because the office is well lit) and definitely went beyond 40 hours on a single charge.
+There is the option to just use it as a wired keyboard, but I like the clean cable-less look on my desk.
+The function button will be your best friend.
+There are three presets for the keyboard by pressing Fn + (cm1, cm2, OR cm3) which is awesome.
+The volume modulator is nice to have (found above the arrow keys).
+The keys are switchable and there is an included tool. Feels like playing with Legos!
+The keyboard has an autosleep function to save battery and connects whenever a key is touched
+USB-C connectivity and charging
+the feel and look is a huge win for the office

I think the features and quality of the keyboard justify it being a $70 keyboard. A little on the expensive side, but worth it for those who want a keyboard that meets the intersections of aesthetics, performance, quality, and productivity.

NEXT QUESTION: WHY MECHANICAL?

+they provide way more feedback and are more responsive when typing
+they have that spring action feel which allows for a faster typing experience
+these "gaming" keyboards are very useful as they offer so many features
+mechanical keys are easier to maintain than membrane keyboards
+more durable and tactile
+as a pianist, I value the touch and responsiveness of keys than the portability of thinner membrane keyboards.

4.0 out of 5 stars A decent gaming keyboard!

I use this AJAZZ K870T wireless bluetooth mechanical keyboard for gaming, and especially appreciate it when I want to step back from my PC monitor and project the display onto my HDTV, it works and looks great.

The keyboard is quite responsive and looks NASA space age white with multicolor LEDs. There are maybe a dozen different lighting patterns to choose from or you can save a lot of battery power by turning the LEDs off. It is up to personal taste. I personally leave the light pattern on, use the keyboard for maybe 5 hours a day and get at least a week out of a charge. I don't wait for it to run empty, I recharge every Sunday night so I know I am good to go for the week ahead in wireless mode.

This keyboard can BT pair on up to three different devices. This feature is a huge plus as it allows me to seamlessly go between my Windows 10 PC and my iPad mini.

There are many nice features to this mechanical keyboard but one thing that is missing that can be annoying for me at times when using for any form of typing is the lack of a CAPS light. Major kudos on the volume dial. Also, when I think of mechanical keyboard, I think of clicky keys. I love that sound. This keyboard has the downward pressure feel but does not make the clicky sound or feel I was expecting exactly.

Overall, I am quite pleased with the real time gaming performance of this keyboard in wireless BT mode. It is also a very comfortable, good looking durable keyboard to use.

2.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, But Not Mechanical, And Bluetooth Doesn't Work
Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2020
Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I wanted a wireless mechanical keyboard to use in bed or on the couch, and this one all white with beautiful RGB lighting really caught my eye, so I was very excited to get it. In a nutshell, it was a disappointed.

First, let's start with what they got right. The all white look is gorgeous - white board, all white keys, and lit with bright, saturated RGB colors. There are various modes of lighting, which allows for a lot of customization. It is simply beautiful.

But that's the only thing I like about it. They keys themselves are not true mechanical. They feel hard and sluggish, not the thick and springy tactile feel with the true expensive mechanical keys. If this was advertised as a regular keyboard, then I would rate it as a good keyboard, but I feel this is false advertising.

Finally, and this was the deal breaker, the Bluetooth just didn't work for me. It comes with a chord for wired keyboarding, but I already have a wired keyboard. I tried many different ways to try to get it to work, including going into the systems and devices menu - nothing worked. The computer doesn't even recognize it when it's not wired. I hope this is just a lemon, otherwise, find another keyboard.

2.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, But Not Mechanical, And Bluetooth Doesn't Work
Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2020

5.0 out of 5 stars Versatile 87 Keyboard With Multiple Connection Options
Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020
Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
This backlit keyboard has two different ways to connect: it has a USB-C cable for charging and a Bluetooth connection for wireless use. The USB-C is six feet with a standard USB-A to attach to desktop or laptop and charges the keyboard. There is an LED between the Esc and F1 that shows the charging status (red for charging and off for charged). If plugged in, it works as an NKRO if plugged into a USB 2.0 port (did not test on a USB 1.0 yet). Although mechanical, the switches resemble Reds without the tactile bump. Bluetooth is enabled with a button, and the discovery and mapping use the BlueHID with the additional transmission of power and connectivity data to the paired device. Using this without the backlighting, it lasts at least 60 hours (this is supposed to be up to 100 hours). With backlighting, it lasts 7 hours for me. The backlighting is tied to the Fn key, and you probably are going to need to retain the instructions to remember which is which. I have not figured out how to set individual keys to colors, but all keys do have the full RGB pattern. Fn and Ins set to individual colors. The other functions have wave and press to color among them. Because this keyboard can deal with both wired and wireless functions, I think this will replace my standard one for tournament gaming.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Well Constructed Keyboard for the Price
Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2020
Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
Killer value for the price. RGB is definitely there and controllable enough, not to ugly either. Some extra color keycaps are nice as well. The wheel is a very nice touch on keyboards that makes this stand out. It's unique, and hard to find on boards of this price range. Bluetooth and wired modes work well, tested on Windows and Linux.

My only complaint is with the keyswitches, I've tried Black switches on other keyboards and I find that it's a bit hit or miss for me. I enjoy the added weight sometimes, as long as each switch is very consistent on registering keystrokes at about the same position/without too much resistance at the top of the press vs at the bottom of the press. Otherwise, with a heavier push like this one, I find this keyboard quite fatiguing to type on rather quickly, especially when typing bottoming out on each press, as I usually do with my Blue switches. I personally couldn't type too comfortably and accurately without bottoming out on this keyboard as well, so letting my fingers bounce after a half push. Personal preference and just how these keys are, but the product itself is a great option and I'm glad it exists.
