An “OK” blanket. Not the best

This down alternative blanket so far has been a pleasant surprise. Upon first opening the package I noticed immediately that it is much thinner than it looks in the photo. I put a duvet cover on this. The cover is too big for it as this comforter is so thin. I was expecting to need a second blanket because it is fairly chilly at night where I live.

So far this blanket has been much warmer than I expected! I really do wish it was a bit heavier because I like to have a little bit of weight in a blanket. The corner "straps" to attach it to a duvet cover are very cheap feeling, they are just pieces of ribbon, therefore I do not expect that they will last very long.

Years ago we bought some twin down alternative comforters from that big box “I” store with the great Swedish meatballs. Nice loft and soft and fluffy. I assumed this Whitewrap twin size would be similar but we are disappointed. Almost zero loft, heavy in actual weight, and nothing like fluffy down. Also, it’s huge and the package is labeled as a duvet insert although the listing here empathizes “Down alternative comforter.” It would fit a full sized bed with plenty of room to drape over the sides.

I'm used to wrestling a king-sized goose down comforter, so this twin comforter with down alternative is a real pleasure. Although it is certainly puffy, it is not markedly so -- but just enough to provide some coziness when needed if things are a little chilly at night. I don't suppose we'll keep it on through heat wave season, but otherwise, I see it on the bed pretty much 9 months of the year.

To protect it -- it's a beautiful sparkling white -- I did immediately encase it in a duvet cover, but if you want white on your bed, it would look fine with no cover at all. It's very well made. For a cover with strings inside, there are handy duvet tabs. I highly recommend this for a twin bed, which is the size we ordered for review.

Comfortable light weight blanket

This is a duvet-style blanket. I couldn’t find the fiber content tag, but the outer cover feels like polyester. The stuffing is microfiber. The stuffing is quilted like a duvet, and the blanket has some light duty strings for attaching to a duvet cover. The piece was made in China.

I find this blanket light weight and comfortable. It is warm enough for 3-season use, but for winter I’d probably want to add a wool blanket or two. It comes in a brilliant white color. To protect the blanket, it’s best to add a duvet-cover (sold separately). The ties to hold the blanket inside a duvet cover are light duty, but other than that, the blanket is well made. Overall, this is a decent choice for a warm season blanket.

My daughter is using this comforter with a pretty duvet cover she got for Christmas. The comforter is well made. It is evenly stuffed and stitched to keep it that way. There are ribbons stitched diagonally at each corner to secure the comforter in the duvet. They seem to be holding in place despite my daughter rolling around in her sleep.

She finds the comforter to be quite warm. It is usually good for her when she goes to bed, but if the heater kicks on during the night she gets too hot. She leaves it untacked so she can toss it aside when necessary. Overall, she is very pleased to have it with her bedding set.

I thought a twin size comforter would be the perfect size for a twin size bed but it's like double the size. I guess that's pretty normal since maybe people warp it around on the side. It's very fluffy and even after washing it stayed fluffy. It does have srings but there is nothing to tie to my duvet cover. Overall, it's very soft and light that it keeps you warm.

Flat and stiff

The comforter is stiff. If you look at the first picture the description, you can see the side of the comforter sticking out. That's exactly what they do! Doesn't create a "cozy" feel at all, would be awkward to wrap it around you. Wish I'd noticed that detail before I got it.

If you plan to use it without a duvet cover, the exterior cloth is a bit slick. I don't care for that feel, but that didn't play into the rating.

It's also not as warm as I expecting. I was looking for a medium warmth, like a jacket you'd wear in November. This is more like the jacket slip on when it get cool in September.

I'm in the Midwest, and winter comes through at least 3 times a week so far, with temps dipping down into freezing, then swinging back to 70F. This has been a wonderful addition to my super fuzzy duvet set, and keeps me nice and toasty warm in bed. This has six ties for a duvet, 4 at the corners and 2 down the long edge, which is 2 more than my actual duvet has. It slipped in nice and easy and hasn't shifted around or puddled at the bottom of the duvet at all! Because it is a stark white, if you have a very dark colored duvet, this might show through, but I do not have that issue at all. If I ever need another one, I know exactly where to go!

This comforter is a lot thicker than I expected it to be. It was delivered in a very large box, and it actually filled this box completely.

It’s thick and soft, and most importantly, warm. I bought it for a twin size bed. It hand over the edges nicely.

I bought a duvet cover for this comforter. The four corner tabs helped the duvet cover secure to the comforter well, though an additional tab on each side center would have been helpful.

Overall I am very pleased with this comforter and have rated it five stars. At $43 at the time of this review, it’s a good deal.
